Veda Salon & Spa - Colorado Springs

I have been seeing Christopher for a few years now and let me tell you, he is a master at his craft!!! Truly the best hair stylist I have been to! I always leave feeling beautiful and refreshed!He has such a fun personality and always manages to make getting my hair cut a highlight of the week!! Thank you Christopher for making me feel beautiful and doing such a wonderful job on my hair!!

I have had bad haircut experiences in the past so I'm always a little terrified when trying out a new salon. I called and asked specifically if they have a stylist that has experience cutting my hair type and was able to book an appointment with her set for only a week later. When I arrived at my appointment I was welcomed and told to grab a beverage if I would like from the coffee/tea cart. What!!! complimentary coffee with my haircut, this place knows the way to my heart. I grabbed a coffee in one of their cute mugs. My stylist then came and got me ready for my haircut.My haircut included a wash/conditioner as well as a blow dry style. The stylist make sure she understood exactly what I wanted. I appreciate her asking me to show her the exact amount I wanted trimmed off and kept asking me questions throughout the cut. I love my haircut and this was the best haircut experience I have ever had.

In 2019 I decided to take my waist length curly hair from a natural black to gray since my hair had begun graying. I went to Ulta salon in Jensen Beach Oregon. I'll leave that experience for that review, but I'll shorten it up to say that it resulted in mis shaving my head bald. I have suffered such PTSD from that that I have not been to a salon since until Monday. When I walked into the salon, I'll be honest I walked in hoping to hear about pricing and probably making an appointment that I never intended on keeping but as fate would have it, they had an appointment available within an hour with someone they said knew how to work on curly hair. I have panic and anxiety disorder and ADHD so I'm nervous and I talk a lot with the stylus is cool. She made sure that I was calm and she explained every step of the process as she was doing what products she was using how I could improve the texture and quality of my hair and when I say that she cut my hair exactly how I asked her to.... Y'all look at how good my hair looks!!!! Are you freaking kidding me?? If you are not going to the salon, and you live in Colorado Springs and have curly textured hair, do yourself a favor and don't walk but run to Nina Gurule!!!!

My mother-in-law had her hair done on Wednesday, March 8, 2023. This was her first visit to Veda. She had her hair permed with a bill totaling $270. The perm turned out fine, but the service was far from exceptional. When she had her hair washed, the young lady did not prep the chair correctly, and the water/perm solution ran down her back and soaked her shirt and pants. They had her take her shirt off and gave her a robe while they tried to dry it. The solution stained her pants, and she had to drive home completely wet. Embarrassing to say the least. The staff shrugged it off with an apology and sent her on her way.It took her a couple of days to get over this visit and was finally able to share it with her daughters. My sister called and talked to the manager. She was left speechless with the reaction and lack of responsibility the manager expressed over the phone. She was hoping for some kind of compensation that would make her give them another try. However, since they said her perm was good, then there is nothing they can do. I don't know if this is the service they give to elderly, but it was quite unacceptable.My mother went here because her hair stylist of 30 plus years retired. The reviews were good, and they claim they are the best in Colorado Springs.Price is never an issue and good service is worth every penny. This visit was way off the mark.

I switched salons because I was left looking like an old lady every time I went here. Came in today to buy new product and realized I bought the wrong one and brought it right back (a few hours later) and was refused a refund. Seriously save your $ and order Aveda products online!

I just had my first visit to Veda; it won't be my last. My hair was rather unkept, having not been to a salon in over two years. Upon entering, I was greeted warmly and offered a beverage of choice (e.g., coffee, tea, fruit unfused water, wine, champagne, etc). It was snowing so I went with coffee to warm up. The stylist I had booked with, Christopher, welcomed me shortly after. He was great! He was easy to talk with but also did great at staying focused at the job on hand. (Note: I've been to some stylists in the past that are easy to chat with but then my hair becomes an after thought and turns out a little wonky). Christopher quickly got the feel of my hair (fine but thicker) and how to do the look I was going for. I love the end product.

Bad place. Location on Academy. I will not go into too many details here. Bad experience all the way from incompetent scheduling to hairstylist with too many appointments and running behind. Inability of hairstylist to listen to me or focus on me and how I wanted my hair styled. I felt rushed and like there was no time for me.

Tried to call for an appt a few times and receptionists were rude and not accommodating. Gave up and did it online since I had a gift card and the price quoted was $75. Paid $half down $37 and with tax it said 79$. The nail tech was nice- only positive of the whole experience. The front desk staff (3 different people) were all rude and I felt like I was annoying them. When I asked why my total was $96 she was not able to give me an answer other than to say it is $96 even tho I said the price online said $79. Won't be back. Overpriced for a pedicure that took less than 30 minutes.

Veda is awesome, especially with Chris. As a guy, with simpler hair-needs, Chris is still passionate about making sure I look great. He's talented, listens to every detail, and cares about how my month has been. He's a joy to visit! It's a risk to post this, as his schedule might become booked, but... I highly recommend Chris!

so upset...I wanted a color/highlite and cut...the stylist came to me with a couple of hair examples and I chose one..told her how I wanted it cut...the color was so far off she had to remove it...I looked like a clown!!! Then the cut, she cut me bald over my ears!!! and cut me way too short..I made her aware I did not want it cut too short and the back..OMG..she blunt cut me on the neck..I look butch...and I paid over 250 to be made to look worse than when I walked in..but they won't care, cause they know I am leaving town..so loosing my business is no big deal..I could have gone to Great Clips and gotten a better cut for 1 tenth the cost..and I was made to pay for the color being removed...
