Veda Salon & Spa

I have been a loyal Aveda customer for years and I love that everywhere I live, there's been a location! Bend, OR, Tacoma, WA, Portland, OR & now Colorado Springs (Veda). I've been to the university village location a few times for new shampoo/face products, eye brow waxing and today a hair cut! Emily was my hairdresser and she absolutely killed it. My hair looks and feels amazing and she went the extra mile by curling my hair and taking these awesome glamor shots. I believe it was Rosa who did my eyebrows and they were perfectly done. I love the products here because they're all vegan, some gluten free, and the quality is amazing. I would never use anything else or go anywhere else for my grooming!

5 STARS for Stephanie Sexton she is absolutely phenomenal! When we're in town I will always make an appointment to get my hair done by her! I've been her loyal customer for a long time 16 years plus! My only complaint which was absolutely disappointing & will be cancelling my appointment for my granddaughter's haircut tomorrow due to your very unhappy & unpleasant receptionist. I was inquiring if I could possibly have my granddaughter's haircut done but last time it was walk-in no issue but this time which is understandable I was told by your NOT SO lovely & unfriendly receptionist that I could make an appointment again no issue! I made it for 1:30 pm today & my granddaughter was all excited about getting her haircut. That we absolutely had no problem coming back! Then when I was done w/ my appointment & paying , the same receptionist ( blonde - NON SMILING bundle of joy!) That I was informed by her that the the stylist doesn't cut kid's hair this kid happens to be 12 1/2 year old so I wouldn't classify her as a kid & NOT a squirming baby or a toddler. I said I would reschedule but she fortunately literally pawned me off to the other receptionist who was absolutely much more friendly & nicer! Remember the first impression & nice warm welcome will be everlasting ! But she managed to stay consistent & our last impression was the same as thefirst when we came in "Non Smiling & unfriendly !!! Even my granddaughter noticed how awful she was! I understand if your having a bad day but please leave your poor & unhappy attitude at the front door & not take it out on your loyal customers! Thank goodness we're only out here twice a year b/c I would definitely have to visit when that receptionist is not working! She's the absolute WORST!!!Update: I was on hold for 20:44 minutes till whomever answered the phone to simply cancel appointment. Poor customer service on top of that ! I suspect it was the same young Lady who was the unhappy & non-smiling receptionist ! Hopefully she doesn't treat others like she treated us yesterday!!!

Finally I found a location that does beautiful work. I have been looking for a hair dresser for 2 years and I will be coming back. Thank you Courtney.

Meh. Unimpressed with the lackluster execution on a pretty simple baylage that went copper.Pretty happy I no longer have to attempt hair salons in Colorado because of this experience. Overpriced and underskilled equals disappointing service for an "aveda" salon.

Love the color and cut from Brandy today. I have been a Veda customer for years and appreciate that all there products are vegan and work great. Staff is always polite and helpful. Would recommend trying University Village on your next trip to the salon!-CP

I had a my brows waxed and dyed. While the brow dye was great, the wax they used on my skin around my brows caused a severe chemical burn. I called Veda and asked to speak to the aesthetician who did my session, but was told the Manager would want to talk to me instead, and hear my concerns, and get me a refund. I sent an email with the pictures documenting the burns, as requested, but I never heard back from anyone. No one called or emailed--not the aesthetician, receptionist, or the GM as promised--nor did I get the promised refund. Bottom line, I would not recommend Veda at all. Not only did they burn my skin which took WEEKS to heal, they were very unprofessional and did not make any attempt to rectify the matter.

Brittany cut my hair today and I love it! She really listened to what I wanted, gave a great head massage, and took the time to show me how to style it. The salon is cozy and busy and has great smelling products.

I've gone to Veda at University for many years and have consistently received the best hair services. I usually get highlights and a cut, plus products. Brandy does an amazing job! Everyone is so friendly. Highly recommend!

I rec a call from who I would assume was a manager of Veda. She wanted to know what happened since I placed such an awful review of what was done to my hair. I learned from her that the deposit I was expected to put down when I made my appointment, of $50, was not applied to my receipt!! So, not only did I get a horrible job on my hair but I was also screwed out of 50 bucks..and had I not placed an awful review, I would never have known. The manager, after hearing what I had to say, said they would, of course, refund my $50 plus another $50 for the bad hair cut....while it's better than a kick in the butt, they shud refund every penny...I am still so mad and I look so horrible...at 72 I need all the help I can get to look decent and I look awful..hideous...and we are going out of town this weekend....

I went to Brandi on Saturday for a bang trim. I told her what I was going for and showed her a picture of what I was trying to grow it into. She turned the chair away from the mirror and picked up a few pieces in the front and started chipping away them, and then cut some other areas. When she was done cutting, she turned the chair back around so I could see my hair. It looked good at first because my bangs were pushed back the way I usually style them. When I got home, I saw the right side was cut so uneven. The left side looks good, but the right side looks so choppy, it is terrible. I was going to go back to see if she could fix it, but I changed my mind because I don't want the left side to end up looking choppy too. Not very happy with this, and now I have to go try to find someone else to fix it without losing all my length.
