VASA Fitness -Colorado Springs

PSA: If you're considering a gym membership with VASA, don't. Let's say your son has a membership but passed away 1 Jan. First you'll need to call four times to reach a human since the phone robot tells you you can take care of anything through the app. Finally reach a human, tell her what has happened and you need to cancel the membership. She says sure, we'll just need to charge an early cancellation fee and you will still need to pay for Feb. your next bill is due 27 Jan. Wait, what???So 40 minutes of arguing, finally patched to corporate, who btw was immediately helpful, and she took care of it.But that is NOT a good reason to argue on the phone for 40 minutes. Not a good reason to charge extra fees. NOT a good reason to be rude to his mom. NOT a good reason to make me cry when I'm already excruciatingly upset over all the details that must be done. I'll post this everywhere I can think of. True story. I invite you to pass it around.

The Greed is Mind boggling. If you're late on your payment by literally 2 days it's a $25 fee. THATS MORE THAN A MIDDLE STAGE MEMBERSHIP ITSELF. Tried speaking with their "paramount" agents to see if they could reverse it. No, absolutely not. They only give out ONE waiver of the late fee a within a year. IT WAS LITERALLY 2 DAYS LATE. It wasn't like it was negligent for over a month which would be understandable. And It wasn't a price that even reflected a percentage of the actual member ship price - IT WAS 108% OF THE MEMBERSHIP ONTOP of the regular monthly dues. Don't know if ya'll noticed, but times are fucking tough and sometimes people don't get paid on the 1st of the month. Or even see that an attempt was made to collect the payment. Ya'll GREEDY as hell. and for what? you guys struggling that bad that you have to find ways to extort your clients by any means necessary? Absolutely ridiculous.

I have mixed feelings about Vasa but ultimately it's one of the best options especially in the south side of town. The biggest issue is that is ALWAYS PACKED! Sometimes I have to wait so long for a machine or a squat rack in particular. It's better in the morning, if you go in the evening it's game over. My membership is $25/mo I believe which includes classes, hydro massage, steam room & unlimited tanning. I've seen them change the lights so I know they keep up with things well. & I like that they have snacks for sale. Not a bad deal for the price! Just super crowded...

The amenities are great when they are working. It seems that almost every time something is not working (steam room, hot tub, message chairs). ​

Always extremely busy no where to park. No matter what time you go you will always have to wait for a machine!

I absolutely love my gym. I want to give a sincere shoutout to the Zumba and Mixxed Fit instructors who not only lead dance fitness, but encourage us to be ourselves and have a healthier relationship with our minds. I feel really lucky to have found their classes. I have liked all the Studio Red coaches and also enjoyed the few yoga classes, one spin class and aqua aerobics. They have TWO types of massage chairs- aqua and the mechanical ones. And I find the front desk to be helpful and nice. It's a bang for your buck too.

always super busy and went to cancel mymembership but wasn't told id still have to pay the next billing cycle as well as the cancellation fee before confirming. at least TELL me before you charge upwards of a $100 you bastards

Make sure you pay attention to the fees taken from your account. I had auto pay set up and come to find out they were charging another guest membership to my account plus all of the items this person purchased from VASA. I am out over $500 in charges and have not seen a dime back yet. Absolutely Ridicules..

I know there are some poor reviews here. I myself have had positive experience as a studio red member, which gives m more exposure to the gym and other vasa locations as a whole. I have met and worked with many coaches, have done HITT classes and yoga and have been very happy with the instruction. With my particular membership, I get a lot for my money with access to all Vasa locations, including on our vacation to Arizona. We also have access to all classes. I believe maybe some of the billing practices maybe part of bad reviews. There is a fee if you don't cancel for the studio classes within 8 hours. I have been billed a $3 fee twice, once for cancelling within the 8 hours and still got charged and the second time, because coach said she arrived me and I was there for the class and was not actually arrived. Other tgan those two instances, overall a good experience.
