Uva Wine Bar

Sort of a middle America version of an upscale wine bar. Staff was great, wine was...ok, food was basic. The meat and cheese board had what seemed like Oscar Meyer salami.

Very unique eatery (almost a speak easy) serving a variety of elevated noshing yums! ... we missed HH by 8 min ...but the noshing was just as tasty regardless of hh$'s. Homemade organic sourdough bread fresh from the oven, Do I need to write more.

I'm here on a Friday afternoon, waiting for my car to get serviced. What better pastime than to check out this wine bar conveniently located on Interquest near I-25 and the AF Academy. I'm enjoying a glass of Prosecco and a butter board of baguette and goat cheese with apricot jam-- which is scrumptious. This little snack will come to $20+ tax and tip. Our server is absolutely wonderful. He brought water and a pup cup of whipped cheese and prosciutto (!!!) for my little dog.

This was our second visit to UVA wine bar...we will keep coming back as the service, food, drinks, & ambiance are some of the very best in The Springs!

We were originally seated inside, but when a spot on the patio opened up, they allowed us to move. We drank lovely wines in the cool of the evening while enjoying amazing desserts. We had panna cotta and flourless chocolate torte. Daisy was an awesome server. It was lovely out on the patio overlooking the mountains.

We've been back to Uva now two times since our first visit. Second time the calamari did not match up. This time we got bruschetta to share. We were surprised the bread wasn't toasted but the tomato/mozzarella blend was okay. Fresh basil would have been a good addition. One person's meal (tacos) came out the same time as the bruschetta. Flatbread pizza next, 1 Cubano next, then the soup and the other Cubano. All were served quickly but it would have been better if the soup was served first and then the other meals. Plus 2 cups of soup were ordered and we got one cup and one bowl. Whatever the drizzle was on the pizza was weird. Tasted like lime? Or something spoiled. WiFi would not work and only had 1 bar on the phones. Sorry, Uva. We wanted to like you.

Food tastes great, brussel sprouts (we got 2 orders they are so good) and French onion smash burger are 10/10. Very kind service and a smaller indoors. Reasonably priced , will definitely be going back for the shareables dinner vibe!

First of all, revise your expectations if you are expecting a euro-style wine bar ala slow food ambience. This is really a sports bar with wine. The wine flights we ordered were decent.We have done many tastings around the world. The staff was friendly and efficient but service was a bit rushed and there was no information provided about the wines other than domain/origin. We really would have appreciated a wee bit of background on the wines but everyone was working hard with no time to pause. Appetizers we ordered were good, especially the dates with goat cheese. Seems to be locally popular.Make a reservation unless you want to sit at the bar.

Love love love this place! Craig is always so wonderful and accommodating. He's the bar manager and gives great suggestions on food and wine and amazing service! The baked Brie, calamari, pork cracklins, flat breads and tacos are amazing. The ambiance is quaint and chic. It's so worth a girls night or a date spot!
