US Post Office

Mailing a post card in Monument, Colorado...This is a really large, clean, and relatively new post office! It's safer to drop off mail here because theives have been stealing from residential mail boxes... and taking deliveries from people's porches!I'm glad that I already had postage stamps on me. Because it was a Sunday, the Post Office was closed, but the self-service kiosk was open. Customers were waiting in line to use it!Forms for holding mail and other services were available... as well as free flat rate boxes. There were so many boxes for secure mail delivery, too.Thanks for being reliable, US Postal Service!

Nathan went above and beyond to find a package that I had lost. I made a missing package report one evening, and not but 20 minutes later, Nathan called to notify me that he was pursuing its location. By early afternoon the next day, Nathan called to let me know that it had been found, and put into my mailbox. I don't have the best track record with the USPS, so this absolutely impressed me. Thank you Nathan!

You won't find friendlier postal workers and better service than this post office in Monument. If you live anywhere north of Academy and Colorado Springs it is worth the few minutes extra drive versus the Criterion location. Everyone is friendly and keeps the line moving and makes great jokes and fast service.Express mail has a little earlier cut off than the other locations, but other than that, this location actually makes going to the post office a pleasant experience!

I have never encountered a better P.O. Everyone there is pleasant, helpful, thorough, honest and just downright awesome! BIG thank you to everyone there!

Convenient and well stocked packaging station. Excellent location.They have everything you need in terms of do it yourself packaging and postage materials (obviously, it is a Post Office).While emails are so easy, there is something gratifying about hand jamming a few words and mailing it off to someone. A bit more personal way to show you actually DO care about them. Take it all a step beyond and send them a small gift you found while exploring the back roads of Colorado.This location ( despite the maze of a parking lot) is great and the folks run a pretty good shop.

My god this place just cannot get it together! I wish there was another option for mail as I'm not getting the mail that supposed to be coming to me. Honestly I wish I didn't even have to deal with the post office

The Monument post office has been holding my package hostage since Nov. 11. A package that was sent on Nov. 6, (it is now Nov. 22) and at one point made it to Colorado Springs and close to a delivery. But then it went on a whirlwind road trip and left Colorado. It came back, landed in Monument, and there it freaking sits. I call and the phone rings forever and then it hangs up on me. WHY DO YOU PUBLISH A PHONE NUMBER ON A PHONE YOU NEVER ANSWER?I opened a case several days ago. My local PO is handling it, and has told me they've sent several emails to the Monument post office, but are not getting a response. Apparently there is no way to for one post office to contact another post office other than emailing, which seems insane to me.Maybe they are nice as others have indicated, but they sure are not responsive to someone who is trying to find out what the problem is with getting my package delivered. Glad I don't live in Monument and have to use that post office. At least my post office answers their phone.

I needed to ship a small parcel to Australia. I first went to the post office in Larkspur, CO who didn't have the Priorty Mail International Large Video Flat Rate box. $48.95 to ship. I was directed to the Post Office in Moneument. I spoke with a postal worker in the lobby as I didn't see the above box and he assured me that I could send it for the same flat rate using a medium flat rate box. So...after filling out the paperwork, boxing the item up, standing in line...was to'd...oh sorry...to ship at that price, it has to be the international flat rate box....no....we don't have them. I spoke to the post master and asked if they would honor the on-line price since they didn't have the box.....got the deer in the headlights look. No offer to order a box, nothing.

Why this has anything lower then a 5 surprises me. The staff where friendly lovely. If you treat people the way you want to be treated you will have an easier life.Thank you all!
