US Post Office

This post office building is epic! They still have the original interior from when it was originally built (1940's) and the exterior is made of Manitou Greenstone. So much history in Manitou Springs and their buildings have a lot of character. If you are around the area, you should stop by and check it out!

Guess what makes this Post Office great? Dean. He rocks. Plus it's a fantastic historical building with a wonderful mural, gilt cage windows and marble floors. Love it.

I have a great mail deliveryman, but the PO is impossible sometimes. I called to schedule a pickup for a priority box. The phone rang and rang until the operator cut the connection as "caller unavailable." THEN I called the new 800 number which goes directly to some general USPS office, where after a long wait of many different things the recording felt important, I was connected to an agent and told there would be a 20 to 30 minute wait. I'm shipping UPS or FedEX from now on out.JB

I mailed a priority package from here , Manitou Springs .I mailed it on a Friday and it was at my house on Sunday .Between there and here , someone went through the package , taking what they wanted , leaving me with one item in the box . It was taped up with official priority tape ,after the box had been tampered with .So there is clearly a thief in the US post office . You have been warned ,Do not mail from here! I had to give it one star ,so it would post my comment !
