It is hit-or-miss with this branch (Downtown Colorado Springs). I walked in mid-week recently and only one employee was at the counter while 13 customers were in line. There were other employees there, but they would walk by and go somewhere else. It was maddening! There were people standing in line who just had to drop a package off because the self-help bin was full (and therefore locked).Today, December 31, I walked in at 12:33 p.m. and the counter was completely closed (the steel curtain was down). No signage on the doors to indicate the branch would be closed today. Luckily the main door was open, and I could use the self-serve stand to mail my pre-paid business packages. BUT, if the self-serve bin had been full (and, as a result, locked), I would not have been able to drop off the packages I needed to send out today. Today is not a holiday and the hours posted online are as follows: "Tuesday, December 31 (New Year's Eve) Local Post Office locations will be open." I would use the Rockrimmon or Briargate branches and avoid this one. Briargate is exceptional.

While they don't answer their phone, the lady I spoke to there was very nice. When I got there, there was a fire alarm going off so everyone was outside and this nice lady who worked there help me find somewhere else where I could pick up postage stamps.

For passport services, I recommend going to another location. I arrived at 11:25 for my 11:45 appointment (as per their instructions to arrive 15 minutes early). You have to pay for parking. The gentlemen doing passports, although he may be nice, he talks too much (not passport related) thereby cutting down on his efficiency and causing appointments to back up. My appointment finally began at 12:15 (by another gentlemen who was much faster). Again, I recommend going to another location for your passport needs.

Honestly, not that bad of an experience. Both before COVID-19 and during COVID-19, I've had to go take care of some basic mailing business, and the people that I worked with behind the counter were pleasant and quick. They were very helpful with me not knowing my options, and even though there was a decent line of people, they were great. Even when I was in line, it wasn't that long of a wait. I've had much much worse experiences. And frankly, when you walk in and see that 10-15 person line and have to wait 20-30 min just to see the person behind the counter, at least you have someone nice to work with that made that whole waiting experience inconsequential. I'd recommend this USPS location for sure.

Had shipped off about 10 packages forgot to label one at the kiosk. Kiosk was full so they told me to leave them on the counter. Realized this in my Depop shipping app when it didn't show as shipped. Asked the front desk and they said it doesn't matter if you left it there it's been shipped out. I asked don't they check them? It needs an address to be able to go somewhere and they were not very nice to me. The staff had been in arguments with the past three people in line so I guess yay for money. Stolen package from usps.

We were visiting from Georgia and staying at an Airbnb. My daughter sent a Christmas box to our address on Custer Ave. Colorado Springs 80903. I witnessed the mail carrier just throwing the package that said fragile on the ground. I guess we will find out if anything is broken when the gifts are opened on Christmas. Hopefully, this isn't standard practice.

Went to apply for my passport. Art was extremely helpful and organized. I left there understanding the process, knowing what to expect when, how to track my passport, and how to look up the embassies in the countries I will be visiting before I arrive. Overall, it was a great learning experience.

Kristen was not nice nor helpful! Thankfully the Briargate is post office was able to help us! We were in and out at the briargate location in 5 min for a passport! When we were 5 min late at this location they turned us away when there was no one in the post office!

Went in for a passport appointment and was treated like trash by the male worker in at the time. Once he identified me as the one who set the appointment, and with my husband standing right there, proceeded to change his tone of voice and talk down to me like I was a two-year-old who didn't understand that 1+1=2. Needless to say, I did not appreciate his tone and when I coldly told him we understood what we needed to do, he rolled his eyes and raised his tone of voice, mimicking and mocking what I said. This man needs to be fired. We ended up just walking out and will be going to a different location for our passport needs.

Today 4/19/2022 I went in our Colorado Springs downtown 201 E Pikes Peak Ave. location to track my daily mail that I didn't get but I received a daily digest email with pictures of mail but I Only received junk mail so I went to the post office downtown to track the missing piece of mail which was some mail from State Farm Claims. I spoke with the post office Supervisor name Patricia and explained that I was missing some mail that I seen on my email daily digest picture and she told me that sometimes all the mail that you get an email notice for don't expect it to come that same day, so I told her I don't feel confident about the digest service an that I did receive All the other pieces that was on the email picture except my State Farm Claim mail and then Patricia asked me do I have a problem with the mail carrier and I told her No and I was referring to your digest system and while I was explaining to her, what's the use of getting an email picture conformation if all the mail don't come and then the phone rang then Patricia rudely picked up the phone as I was talking interrupting me then Patricia Started Laughing out loud Rudely and Nasty in my face. I waited patiently until she got off the phone then I asked her for a grievance so then she walked in the back and never came back out while leaving me by myself. Patricia had a nasty attitude and she was very short with me. Patricia has poor communication skills plus she's very unprofessional. Patricia was incompetent, unprofessional, and acted with No integrity. This situation will Not be ignored and I'll exhaust every administrative remedy until I get relief.
