We have the worst mail carrier I have known. He,She claims they knock on the door and no one answers so pink slip goes in our mailbox or they dump our packages on the ground in a different location up a ways from our house.I am disabled and to have to go searching for my packages is not easy I am beyond frustrated with this carrier , it is time someone stepped in and maybe re-orientation would help them fulfill their postal duties. 80808 is the zip code area.

This is a hit and miss post office, when it comes to their employees. While my experiences were not all that bad, it becomes one when you place an unwilling and unfriendly employees, that serving customers with their mail is a chore. (This is apparent with their voice, unwillingness to assist, and their constant frowning) The last two women were a nightmare! I had to report one in the post office website. Lets see who is serving today, as I am actually mailing something. Hopefully I get the petite lady, who is really cheerful and engages in small talk.

This post office has been refusing delivery of any boxes weighing over 10lbs for over 2 years now. Trudy at the desk told me to "use a different carrier or stop ordering" because they will not be sending any boxes. When we tried to ask why the carrier is not been reassigned or receiving help for her accommodations, we were told "only her doctor makes that call and she has help." When we asked why they haven't been helping, we were told they were "busy" and can't help right now or at all for the past 12 months or more she's on weight restrictions. After speaking with her in person and her telling me to leave that she's not going to help me, my mail is being marked as "refused" and sent back as soon as it arrives at the post office. Good luck getting a response from USPS online contact forms, they just mark them as complete and ignore them. If you've also dealt with this, contact postal regulatory commission at +1 (202) 719-0747 and the post office consumer affairs officer at (303) 853-6185

Do not go to the Calhan post office. They skrewed our family trip over with our passports. The guy at the front desk didn't sign our papers correctly so we wasted over a $1000 on late passport fees and airfare fees. You inept worker at the front desk-you know who you are-please get yourself retrained in passport protocol so you don't waste anyone else's money.

Might be the worst post office in the country. Carrier had to be instructed how to open a drop box for packages, now seems unable to do that, leaving parcels on top in plain sight for anyone to steal. Now delivering way past normal business hours, between 6 and 7 at night. I called the office, and James claimed that is the best they can do, and If I had any ideas, they were hiring. What a joke. If they can't deliver the mail, or packages, and can't get anyone to work, they should close this place down, better to have it shut down than mail stolen due to incompetence.

We had the unfortunate occasion to need the services of the Calhan, CO Post Office in order to expedite a passport and thereby having to deal with the exceptionally unfriendly male postal worker. My husband and I had driven almost two hours from a western suburb of Denver for our 1:00 appointment. This curmudgeon was rude from the beginning and extremely condescending to me, personally. And then a glitch in my appt confirmation made him determine that he could no longer help us and we were told by him that we would need to make another one and come back. We were stunned and asked if he could perhaps fit us in somehow because of our long drive and that we were willing to wait around for an hour or more to accommodate his schedule. It was not even considered because he was "too busy" the rest of the day. There was only ONE other person waiting in this tiny post office at the time. She felt bad enough for us that she came out to our car and gave us a suggestion of what to try next. This man does NOT belong anywhere that good customer service is valued or desired, and he certainly did not give off the vibe of small town friendliness. He is old and grumpy and needs to retire. If nothing else, he should be put to work in the back room with the packages. Thankfully, we had the exact opposite experience just 30 minutes later when we dropped by the Kiowa P.O. on our way home. What a difference kindness can make to any situation. Thank you, Kiowa Post Office!
