Uncle Sam's Pancake House

Great spot to enjoy breakfast after hiking! Service was a little slow but they were slammed so I totally understand. Coffee was abundant. Portions of food were huge! We loved everything! Indoor and outdoor seating available. They also have a decent sized parking lot. Cute patriotic decor inside. Cozy small town diner feel. Loved it!

We came here for some food after exploring Garden of the Gods. It wasn't very far and we were pleasantly surprised it was not crowded (since the park was super crowded!). The decor is kitschy americana and the vibe is small town diner - I loved both. We ordered eggs and pancakes, and everything was so delicious. I built my own omelette and it was perfectly made. They make their own syrup in house, and it's not overly sweet. I wish they sold it! The super kind waitress gave me a few ounce sized to-go containers to take some home. They also make their own cinnamon butter. Yum! We loved our food. Pancakes run rampant on the breakfast menu in the best way - I was even able to get one with my omelette (instead of toast) and they sell single pancakes too! Breakfast is served all day which is awesome. I think this place may be an underrated gem. No notes, we found it perfect. If I lived locally I would come back again and again.

I honestly hate leaving reviews like this but it was truly our worst experience thus far. We checked in and were told about a 20 minute wait. We waited for 45 minutes. We were seated and we ordered within 3 minutes because we were so hungry and wanted our food asap. There was a fan blowing in our area that made it so cold and it was such a strong and loud fan that it made it uncomfortable. After 35 minutes of waiting for our food, without being checked on once or told anything about the wait for our food, I finally flagged down a lady to ask for an update letting her know we were approaching 40 minutes. It seemed as though our server was on a break since we hadn't seen her, and she didn't check on anyone else sitting in her section. The lady we asked for an update never came back and even avoided us. I had to flag her down again and she said she'd check. She came back saying it was getting plated right now. At this point it had been 47 minutes of waiting for the food but alas, it arrived. When our food arrived, we could not believe we waited 47 minutes for what we received. We thought about just leaving but our 1.5 yo daughter was so hungry.After about 20 minutes of waiting, we started to think maybe it's because we're brown. We could not think of any other reason why our server never updated us or thanked us for our patience or anything. The table that got seated behind us about 15 minutes after us, received their food right after us. The service was completely unacceptable. The price for what we received was ridiculous and the food was not that good. We had one coffee and one strawberry lemonade on top of our food order and it cost us $50. Sad to say we will never go back, especially since it was recommended.I rated it 1 star because it won't let me post without a star.

Great breakfast at this American themed restaurant. The pancakes sandwich is a must try with two solid pancakes, bacon, eggs and cheese inside. Throw some syrup in the mix and every bite is terrific. Nice staff and good coffee too.

Great food. Perfect service. The server understood the assignment when I asked for extra creamer for my coffee!!

My brother lives very close to here, so we walked over to check it out after seeing it had good reviews. The menu has a decent selection of standard breakfast items and lunch sandwiches. We came Saturday morning and were able to be seated within 20 minutes. The issues came after that...we both got water and ordered immediately upon sitting down. I asked for a straw and she said she'd be back. We proceeded to not be checked on nor receive any food for over 40 minutes. I am a server, so I get it to an extent. But this was unacceptable. Finally after 40 minutes I asked where our food was (and for a straw) and we had to wait another 10 minutes or so. The food was okay, at best. I honestly think my wait made it even more anticlimactic. Overall, I don't think I would come back ever again, there are way better options in the area.

This comes seriously close to the perfect breakfast. Delicious. I went for pancakes & my husband went for the hash. Cooked perfectly. The syrup is light & sweet, homemade whipped cream & cinnamon butter are so so good. Really friendly service that makes it a great experience. Don't let the outside fool you, this is a great place to eat!

My new favorite Colorado breakfast place. Biscuits with gravy, perfectly cooked bacon, delicious omelet, and raisin bread French toast with homemade cinnamon butter... It was close your eyes and say, "mmmm..." good. We would have taken photos, but we started eating with gusto and forgot. We were one of their first customers. Our waiter was great- welcoming and attentive to our needs. The restaurant was decorated in a patriotic theme with sing along "oldies" playing in the background.PS- they also serve lunch!

Wow! If you are ever in Manitou Springs then this is the place to eat. Service was great, staff friendly, helpful & attentive. Food was exceptional, something on the menu for everyone. I had Uncle Sam's omelette which was delicious and a very nice size portion. Then I shared a pancake with strawberries (well you can't go to a pancake house and not have a pancake! ). All food was tasty, well presented and great value for money.
