I visited with a friend and was shown how all of the equipment works. The rental fee was just a few bucks and I got a few climbs in before realizing I didn't like being suspended from high up (how else would you figure it out without giving it a try though). This was one of their Halloween event nights where the lights were off and you would bring in a headlamp. They had a ton of climbing routes and the auto-belay enabled solo climbing. There's a bouldering section upstairs as well and there are lockers and cubbies downstairs to hold your belongings while you climb. There were a ton of people in costumes and both kids and adults having fun. The staff was very friendly and patient.

I'd love to give this gym a 5 star review, but I'm only going to give it a 3 for reasons listed below. First off this gym has great climbing routes, is new, clean, and organized. They also offer discounts for military, which is nice. They have all three top rope, lead climbing, and bouldering. The reason I'm not giving it a 5 is because of the customer service from the staff that work there. They were very unwelcoming & indifferent. Our biggest issue we had was with a staff member, named Conner, who administered our belay test. We are certified at other climbing gyms in Utah, and this was by far the most snobby, arrogant, experience we've ever had. There was no disclaimer of what they look for or that may be different from other gyms before we took the test. He was extremely belittling and picky on a ridiculous level. Safety is of course extremely important, but his whole approach about it was uncalled for. We were extremely turned off to the gym for that reason. I've been to four climbing gyms throughout the US, and this one was by far the most stuck up of them all.

One of the few climbing gyms around the Denver area to offer auto belay routes. These climbs are set nicely, with some more challenging stuff for those that just can't get a partner for the day! With that said, do be aware that this attracts many younger kids whose parents hook 'em up and get on their phones. If you get there during off-hours, not a problem. The bouldering area upstairs is a bit lacking on problems, just due to lack of space. The stuff that is set is good though!

This gym has turned into a playground for little kids. I love seeing children experience the sport but it's becoming excessive and makes it hard to do serious climbing. I was trying to Boulder recently and a group of parents sat in the corner talking while their kids ran around playing tag underneath me. This is rather common here. I love the auto belays, and appreciate Ubergrippen for providing them, but there's oftentimes a parent who ties up three or four auto belays by putting a child on each one and then sits back while the kids just kind of hang out. They aren't really climbing and no one's instructing them, they're just basically playing on the wall. Trying to top rope between some kids playing on the same wall is not ideal. The gym has great routes and should be a great place but I feel like I'm interrupting a kid's birthday party most of the time.
