The Whickerbill

While out supporting small businesses this past Saturday I found this total gem! We moved to the area in January and as you know, the world all but ended so we didn't get to do much exploring. Happier now that I have found a store that has everything I never knew I needed and so many things that would make awesome gifts for any occasion!! How many times do you get invited over to someone's house and not know what to bring? This store has it! They have cute novelty kitchen/home items as well as practical everyday items. We were looking for Christmas gifts for a few people that have everything but I'm pretty sure that one of them doesn't have a wine pour in the shape of a bird that sings (chirps) when you pour a glass of wine, so that happened!Currently, at the entrance they have a stand with hand sanitizer and masks! I love that they are taking things seriously. Fantastic store owned by a lovely couple with a great story!! Absolutely worth checking it out if not becoming a regular like I plan to!

I visited this store for the first time in December and absolutely loved all their clever gifts. If you are looking for something quirky and hilarious, this is definitely the place to go. The store owner, Randy, was kind and helpful and obviously enjoyed his job. Unfortunately, a week later, I opened one of my purchases to discover that it didn't work. Since I live almost 2 hours away from Manitou Springs, returning it to the store wasn't an option. Randy immediately offered to refund my money and didn't need me to return the defective merchandise. And then, Randy endeared himself to me forever by offering to send me a new item (that he personally checked to ensure it worked properly) and mail it to me for free.Next time I'm in Manitou Springs, I will definitely stop by again.

This was THE FIND in Manitou Springs! The buyers have marvelous taste. In the store you can find something for every lady: modern, old-fashioned, classic, bold; all tasteful, all beautifully conceptualized and beautifully executed. so fun to look at and imagine somewhere in my home. I found a delightful set of mugs just my sister's taste. Mr. Eastham was willing to ship it to Boston for me. I received a delighted phone call from my sister in no time at all. Take the time to listen to his family story!

How can you not love this store? It is filled to the brim (literally, there is hardly any organization to this little gem) with the most random kitchen accessories, dishware and utensils I have ever seen. From the knife set with a holder that looks like a person (so the knives go through his body...it's hysterical) to the oddly shaped animal glassware. Come to the Wickerbill to browse, buy a white elephant gift or purchase the perfect addition to your eclectic kitchenware collection. The prices are a little high, but so is the quality on most of the items as well. Which of course means that white elephant gift you purchased for that lucky friend will last for years and years to come. I am sure the recipient will be overjoyed.

The shop recently changed owners and has seen a lot of updates, including the overall look and feel of the store. It's bright, welcoming and fun! The items for sale range from kitchen gadgets to home wares to unique gifts. It's refreshing to see that a shop like this in Manitou Springs (lots of tourists) sells something you can't get in the other shops around town. I recommend that everyone pop into this little place and look around.

Love this place! The best shop to meet your cooking and entertaining needs. So many unique and beautiful options to choose from will make shopping either a pleasure or a challenge at The Whickerbill. I always leave wanting more..... Good thing I live nearby; or is it? :)

This is such an awkward place nestled in the "shopping center" in Manitou. My wife and I love to come here to look at the little odds and in's of this kitchen store. They mainly sell kitchen accessories and things you've never seen before. They have a great selection of Japanese dishes (for a hefty price) but they are all authentic and actually made in Japan...I think that's what authentic means? This would be a great place for a gift or just to accessorize your own kitchen to add a personal touch.

What a great place to shop. My first stop every time. Always find something I want/need. Wonderful for gifts, gadgets, unique finds and even some MARVELOUS painted furniture. THIS IS A DONT MISS PLACE TO SHOP IN MANITOU SPRINGS
