The Village

There is a lot of home crafted stuff in here. From throw blankets to little stuffed bears and even jewelry. Like a cottage home decor location, it just makes you feel all homey and stuff!Though, we could not find anything to dress up the Mausoleum in any better way. However, the friendliness of quite literaly the whole store at least made it a good place to browse.

Popped into this little shop yesterday while exploring downtown BV. The owner was very sweet and friendly, and the shop is filled with colorful and unique fair trade items. I bought a sweet little heart garland to bring home.

Loved this little Buena Vista shop and everything inside of it. Especially love it because I was visiting this sweet little town in between seasons so there wasn't much to do except wander between all the boutiques and restaurants. It's packed with trinkets for folks of all ages. Baby clothes and toys, cloth and blankets, jewelry and leather goods. So much color and so much variety it's worth walking into and supporting local. Give it looksy and , whether for you or someone else, I almost guarantee you'll find something you love.

Super excited to support this store on small business Saturday. We snagged a cute alpaca knit panda hat for my daughter and a wall decor peace sign. Cute cute cute!

This store has amazing merchandise. There are so many unique items that are all beautifully displayed throughout the space. The women, who must be owners, are so rude though. It is a shame that they are so thoughtless and can't "read the room." We walked in, and one of them ran up and said, "are you ready to check out?" I guess she didn't see that we had just walked in the door. We were interested in the felt flowers and stood for a long time wondering about making a bouquet. Not once did either woman even look away, from their conversation with each other, to ask if we needed help and /or answer any questions. We then tried to buy a pair of mittens which were tied with a string. There were two pairs and each pair had a mismatched "partner." We asked if we could put the correct matching mitten with its' "mate." The owner said, "no, they are supposed to be sold mismatched." She answered with such a snotty voice that we just ended up leaving. In the end, they lost out on hundreds of dollars in sales. I would have bought a felt "tooth-ferry," felt flowers, reusable snack containers for lunches, some beautiful tumblers, matching wine glasses, and a darling baby bib with a pocket in front. Don't bother shopping or spending your money here because you won't feel like you "gave a vote" for "fair trade," you will only feel disappointed that two unprofessional women, who really don't care and have lousy attitudes, are in charge of helping less fortunate women try to turn a profit.

I absolutely ADORE this store. Visited at least five times during my trip. The prices are very reasonable and the goods are so great. Definitely recommend!!
