Great cozy little spot for 4 people. The surrounding is beautiful and gated. The owners are so kind and generous. You are provided with a clean cabin, utensils, and A/C & Heat

While on our 10-day road trip, we found this quaint lodging through Yelp. The place itself is located on Colorado Avenue, which has no less than 30 motels and hotels all the way through Manitou Springs. It was difficult to choose from so many hotels but as we drove by this place, we thought we would take a chance and stay in a cabin. Also, because the rooms were reasonably cheap. We paid $95.00 per night. The place is owned and operated by a couple. They hire some young college students to keep the place clean. It is important to know that this place is very rustic, meaning it has minimal necessities. Each stand-alone structure has 2 rooms. The rooms are older, small, devoid of any modern amenities but clean and cozy. Some of the rooms have portable heaters. They have a couple of hair dryers to be shared with all. The pool area is like a Motel 6 pool. The towels are the size of a facial towel. On the plus side, there is a beautiful little river running in front of the cabins, a pool and Pine trees all around. The noise block all traffic noises so you feel like you are in a forest. The lodge is located close to businesses so you do not have to go far. Manitou Springs is about 10 minutes away. Each room has a front porch so you can hang out on a warm evening. NOTE: One advise, ask for the bigger room. The charge is about $10.00 more but you get a much bigger room.

My husband and I found this little place while searching for somewhere on our vacation. We were pleasantly surprised to find this reasonably priced set of cabins outside of Manitou springs. This is a set of rustic small cabins. If you cannot handle roughing it this is not the place for you. Pros: The cabins are very small but very clean. The owners were extremely nice and helpful as was the lady who worked at the desk. The prices are extremely reasonable considering the prices all over Colorado Springs. There is a beautiful little river running in front of the cabins, a pool and Pine trees all around.Cons-you have to ask for a heater, a blow dryer, and they don't have many of each. The cabins are split into two parts, so if you have noisy neighbors you can hear everything they say and do. The towels are very very small like dishtowels. The hot water is shared with other cabins so it is possible to run out of hot water. I would recommend bringing your own towel and blow dryer.Overall this was a nice little place and helped make the trip more affordable. I would stay here again if in the area.

The staff is super friendly and even gave me a jump when Pike's peak killed my battery. Close to everything and convenient to the hwy. The cabins are an old motor court motel from the 50s and a little like roughing it. No modern amenities. There is a clean bed, cool air, tv, and chairs outside on the porch. We enjoyed the creek outside our door and the deer every morning. The shower might turn cold though if your neighbor flushes.... lol

9 hours... That's the amount of time my family spent at the Timber Lodge. We had reserved 2 cabins for 5 days, but checked out at 7:00 a.m. - after just one night - and sought shelter at a nearby hotel instead. I appreciate the professionalism and courtesy the reception person showed during check-out and cancellation. Kudos for that, but otherwise, I can't recommend the Timber Lodge to anyone that is looking for a clean or bug-free hotel room. The pictures on the website look much better than the reality. The dirty, run-down rooms were in bad shape. You didn't want to take off your shoes because of the floors and the bugs on them. Ick. Nobody felt comfortable.I fully admit that I've become a "city person" and that camping isn't my thing. For some people Timber Lodge may meet your expectations, but it was a unanimous fail for all 6 of my family. Better options (and worse options) are nearby at better or equal prices. My advice is to do some research to find a better option in Manitou Springs or Colorado Springs than Timber Lodge.

Not sure if this place has closed down but I've tried calling, leaving a message and no return call.I even drove by, hoping I could rent a cabin and the sign had no lighting. So I chose to find another place to stay.Sad as I was looking forward to staying in what appeared to be super cute cabins. If this place hasn't closed then they really need to either answer their phone OR return calls.

We had a family reunion at Timber Lodge. The cabins were cozy and comfortable. Deer visited the grounds daily. A creek runs by the property with a nice babbling brook sound all day and all night. Our event was held in their pavilion with plenty of room for all activities. The lodge also catered and the food was delicious. The staff is very friendly and attentive to our needs. The road construction on Colorado Ave. caused traffic issues but not the fault of the lodge. Unfortunately, the pool was not available for the duration of our stay which prevented me from giving this a 5 star rating. Rates are very reasonable. We enjoyed our stay. I would definitely stay here again if I'm back in the area.

This is an adorable little place but if you want new this isn't for you. It is very clean but also dated. We didn't care that it was dated since it was clean however there were a few minor repairs such as dripping faucets and a couch that definitely needed replacing. We liked that it had a small kitchenette. We also loved that the cabin we got had two bathrooms. The location is good but some of the cabins back the highway. I can sleep through anything but the Highway occasionally woke my husband. We stayed four nights. The owners and staff were very nice and were fantastic when we had to unexpectedly leave a day early.Great place for someone on a vacation who wants to prepare their own meals on a stove pot.

We preferred this place over the motels on the strip. The lodge property has many pretty trees. Cabins from the 50s are very instagram friendly. Looks rural but actually it's between two major roads and you can hear highway traffic sometimes. Also the wifi is great! You'll see deer. We slept really well. Quiet but small bed (double). Owners are very warm and kind. Towels do not fit around your body. They only give bar soap, no shampoo or lotion. Not so toddler friendly due to being right next to River (no fence) and deer poop on play ground. Drive or bike to town, too far to walk both ways.

Best Colorado experience yet. Cabins are clean and well kept. Perfect getaway. We felt like we were out in the wilderness with the clear creek outside of our cabin. Restaurants and stores are just minutes away. Woke up to a beautiful deer just feet from our door. Great family getaway.
