Visited Pueblo for an evening and stayed at The Rusted Poppy. When making the reservation they failed to mention a wedding was taking place that night AT the bed and breakfast (no access to the grounds when a wedding takes over)...or that the stairs to the carriage house where unfinished...or that the entire wedding party would be using the bathroom below us.Room was cute but there there were black curly hairs all over the bathroom (I'm bald and my girlfriend that joined me is blonde)...coffee maker had old coffee grounds in it and the fridge had old noodles in a Tupperware container.Furnace shook the floor/walls and was very loud. There was an uncomfortable daybed where a couch would have been preferred.Place sure looks cute - great character in the building and the gardens are eclectic and fun looking...poor execution makes this a place I will not revisit, which is unfortunate as it has potential.

We had our 50th Anniversary Party here. They suggested a few caterers and we picked one. The whole experience was incredible. We had appetizers in the garden and it was great. Food was delicious and the garden amazing. We had dinner inside and again the food was super. They did a white cake with fresh strawberries.Could not have asked for a better experience.Susan M.

This review is long overdue. We stayed at the Rusted Poppy almostca year ago while on a business trip. We were blown away by the decor of the place, as well as the warmth and hospitality of our hosts. We even jokinkly refer to this now as the "bed and food all the time" because of the amount of snacks that were always available. Our favorite were the s' mores outside at the firepit! We stayed in the master suite, and this is now the standard against we rate all other bed and breakfasts. The enclosed patio is amazing and quiet, and the bathroom is something that most people would die to have in their own homes. We especially loved the custom coffee. The bed was huge and comfortable, and the ceiling fans make it extra nice at night. Even though we didn't end up taking the offer in Pueblo, we will definitely be back, just to stay at this place!

WHAT a lovely night we enjoyed at the Rusted Poppy Inn! We were fortunate to have booked the Tree Top Suite, which is the top floor of this stunning Four-Square home. I felt as if I had been invited to stay in beautifully decorated attic circa 1900 (with lots of 2018 touches!) It came with a beautiful master bedroom, a second bedroom (with a yet another smaller bedroom adjacent to it), a kitchenette, free wi-fi, tv, and a sizeable living room with a working gas fireplace. A long hallway with gorgeous hardwood floors complemented the wonderful antiques and furnishings that filled the space. Breakfast was delicious, made to order and the hospitality of the management could not have been more gracious: Generous pours of white wine were provided after we arrived and recommendations of where to dine in Pueblo (the River Walk area) were readily provided. The beauty of the owner's garden (she lives up to her reputation as having a masterful green thumb) was matched only by the décor of the common area and the other bedrooms in the inn (which I was lucky enough to glimpse from the hallway as my husband and I were leaving!). Hats off to Alison (the house manager), Molly (the owner) and Molly's mom (who we also met as we were departing) for giving us such a memorable stay in Eastern Colorado.

I've been the guest at this beautiful bed and breakfast multiple times and have stayed in different rooms on each trip. I highly recommend the Rusted Poppy. You cannot beat the beautiful gardens, interior atmosphere, the food is fantastic, and the hosts are simply amazing

Shocked by the good reviews, We had a very bad experience at this establishment. We thought the staff was unprofessional and rude. We didn't get our deposit back even though we left the establishment in great condition. It wasn't the money but after a month they responded with multiple lies about why the deposit was not refunded. Cheap is one thing but please don't lie to me.We had other people walking though our venue who we were told were staying there as well so I guess they can have there other guests walk through your event and its ok???Unprofessional and disappointing.

Horribly rude woman ran the place. Room was not clean, TV didn't work, and there wasn't any hot water in the room we were in. Almost gave 2 stars because at least they let us use an empty rooms shower that had hot water. If you can't provide what you advertise don't rent your rooms out.

We were in Pueblo, Colorado from California to celebrate a surprise birthday. We were looking for something besides the cookie cutter hotel chains. I wasn't ready for such a wonderful surprise. The house and landscaping are beautiful from the road. The garden area on the walled/fenced property behind the house had the personal touchs that made it our family hanging out spot. Heat lamps are provided incase the evening is too cool. There were twenty people from different families that came to Pueblo and we all met here. There is a large table that more than 20 could sit at so we had food delivered the first evening. The garden has many other private sitting areas for other guests to use also. The gas fire pit next to the fountain and pond was very relaxing. I want to mention that the owners were very friendly and flexible. Everyone immediately felt at home. The morning breakfast was top notch. They even made a special order of pancakes for the three year old.The interior of the house is jaw dropping. The wood gave the house a warm feeling. Each room is unique. The one with the oversized tub was beautiful. They have a detached cottage that has two beds and a full kitchen. It has a large interior and is perfect for an extended stay. The city center is easily reached and close by. Not walking distance but about three minutes by car.I've never had more fun at a B&B.
