The Hotel Bar mixes perfect drinks. Motto: Cocktails done right. Recently I had a Mescal Old Fashioned. The chunk of block ice was crystal clear and had a "B" emblazoned on it. Our server, Patricia, was phenomenal - friendly, helpful and funny. She'd been there 28 years and her experience appreciated. Teh ambience is warm and inviting. The place was relatively quiet, given the others also enjoying a cocktail before dinner. The view out to the lake and mountains are an added benefit. Great wine and craft beer selections as well. No trip to the Broadmoor is complete without a visit to the Hotel Bar.

Located within the Broadmoor property, the bar offered an endless selection of beverages as well as small and large plates and desserts. Plan ahead though, they say the wait for a table is about 1-1.5 hours. We were told an hour, but pleasantly, we only waited 22 minutes. The decor was rustic old timey. It looked and felt like an exclusive men's lodge or club. The staff were friendly and efficient. They brought nuts and snacks to our table once seated, which was exactly what I needed with my "Improved Whiskey Cocktail." We ordered carne asada fries and eagle's nest ranch wagyu sliders. The carne asada were tender and flavorful. The fries were seasoned and all the condiments just perfected the dish. The wagyu sliders were perfectly cooked and juicy. We paid 200+ (with tip) and it was the best meal we had at the Broadmoor.

I'll begin by saying its in the middle of The Broadmoor Hotel so its swanky, a tad uppity and EXPENSIVE. The ambiance is very nice. It has that "Old world charm" without being outdated. The decor is Warm, inviting and comfortable. It's fancy. I had a 16 oz Draft of Miller Lite. Automatic 20% service fee (to reach over the bar and hand me a glass)......$13.30 total for a glass of light beer!!? They do give you a small amount of free Snacks with a drink purchase. Needless to say I only ordered one. It's a little too rich for my blood but I can say if the prices were a bit lower it would be a great place to hang with some friends.

Pretty terrible cocktails, and pretty limited menu to boot. Not at all a balanced cocktail. Think elevated dive bar at $$$.Service was superb, ambience on point. If you're looking for some decent cocktails walk across a bridge to the bowling alley, the offerings a bit better but you're still going to $$$. If you're looking for balanced proper drinks go to a speakeasy outside of this place..

Under the magnificent embrace of clear skies, I met up with a friend on the patio, a spot ideally suited for outdoor dining and drinking. The background was a fusion of tranquility and charm which added a touch of serenity to our evening. I decided to try their much-raved-about Lemon Drop cocktail. Expertly crafted, it managed to strike an exquisite balance between sweetness and tang, without veering too heavily in either direction. For those with a sweet tooth, the cocktail was accompanied by a novel sugar stick, a thoughtful addition to customize your beverage to your liking. Since I ate before, I didn't order any meal, but my friends ordered a Pork Sandwich paired with classic French fries and a Quesadilla. Both found their meals to be delightful and appetizing. I couldn't resist nibbling on the fries though. This experience has whetted my appetite to revisit and indulge in the Pork Sandwich next time. This place brings a harmonious blend of good food, drink, and atmosphere. Definitely will revisit soon.

We had dinner at the Hotel Bar our second night at the Broadmoor. It's a small indoor area for such a big hotel so the night before, Saturday, was super busy and took a while just to get a drink, but on Sunday night it was much less busy so we were able to get a table for dinner. It was a really cozy atmosphere and the food was delicious. We started with 2 amazing cocktails- the improved whiskey cocktail and the chandelier. Then for food we shared the black truffle arancini, the eagle's nest ranch wagyu sliders, and the Mediterranean mezze plate. Everything was amazing but the arancini was out of this world. Our only complaint is after we got our food, our server was MIA for over an hour. We saw him at other tables but never came back over to us and it was impossible to get his or anyone's attention. I'm guessing we were passed to another server and there was a miscommunication. Nonetheless the food was very good.

This is not much more than your typical hotel bar. The history behind the hotel and bar is great, but I doubt this is what Spencer had in mind. Stopped by for a drink (whisky sour)- specifically with the egg whites. It tasted watered down and served in the wrong glass with a weak bright red maraschino cherry meant for your sundaes NOT cocktails. We had the pretzel and that was fine, a bit on the dry side, the mustard dip was delicious. I guess I just expected more from a place like this. The saving grace is you can take your drink out of the bar and enjoy a game of chess.

We had dinner there last night after asking the front desk staff where the most "casual dining" location was open on Christmas Day night. Without hesitation, "The Hotel Bar" was what she rattled off.We attempted to sit outside because Covid dining still makes me uncomfortable, but it was freezing and we ended up inside. We were pretty distanced from the other tables but I still would've preferred warmer heat lamps outside. The wind and cigar smoke outside is what brought us in.Tried two local beers and had two entrees for $70.The burger was giant and the pasta was good (very limited vegan options), but super heavy. Was a good option for dinner and would return, but there are also other restaurants in the property at a similar price point. Best part? Ambiance and the free bar snacks they brought to the table as we waited for our dinner.

So elegant for drinks and or food anytime. Except when it's full as it often is during cocktail time. You'll pay a good price, but so worth it.

Short wait time on a Wednesday night for our group of 5. Went for drinks and apps. Great menu! Recommend the charcuterie.
