The Healthy Tomato

Meh....okay it's frisco and it is not the gourmet mecca of the rockies but....it was pretty mediocre imo.It was convenient on the way back from Massive and Leadville though

Pretty sure this is where we ate but I didn't see the name The Healthy Tomato anywhere. It said Sky Chutes Coffee Shop. Anyway, I just had the best sandwich I've had in months- yeah!The menu didn't have gluten free bread as an option except under the breakfast sandwich- boo! So I asked...Then they offered gf bread, didn't tell me they had rolls and bagels I could have had- boo! But they told me later they didn't have any gf bread so then they gave me the list. Hmmm, that was weird. They finished the sandwiches for the others in my party and then did 1/2 the next party before finishing mine- that was weird. But did you read that this was the best sandwich I've had in months! It was fabulous! So aside from the interesting serving situation, it was great.

I ordered a wrap yesterday, August 27th at about 2pm, with just mayo and dijon. When I got the wrap, there was literally 5-6 OUNCES of Mayo/mustard dripping out. I had to throw it away, it was completely inedible. This may have been just one disgruntled employee however. She was unfriendly to every customer, slow, and didn't seem to care.

Wonderful, yummy food and friendly staff!! Stopped to get gas in the car on a road trip with our dog. We were hoping to find a quick stop with food to fed our picky group and we found it!! They have gluten free bread for their sandwiches and the guy even made my sandwich first so it wouldn't get contaminated with the regular bread that the rest of my family was ordering! We all enjoyed our sandwiches from the gluten free vegan to my kids who eat meat. I would highly recommend stopping here for some quick yummy food!

This was a frightening experience. After reading the other reviews (seems they have been utilizing the extra greens that are legal in Colorado), I was willing to go thru with the gas station experience. When we walked in, the place was disgustingly dirty. I didn't even want my shoes to touch the floor. I ordered the turkey sandwich and there was so much bread that I couldn't even get my big mouth around it. The bread was hard and by the way, they didn't have gluten free bread this day. As I watched them drag the brick of wheat thru the carnage of the days failed sandwiches I was horrified. Then I asked for lettuce which had to come off before I ate it since it was brown as the bread. The only good thing about the visit was that there was easy access to the river behind the place. Won't be back anytime soon.

HUGE subs! If you usually eat a whole you might want to consider a half. If you usually eat a half, buck up because you're in for a massive sandwich. Tasty food and friendly staff. Will be back!

Basic, healthy good food. Went next door for a great coffee and an ice tea. The view outside is what made it really special!

We stopped here for a light lunch and was pleasantly surprise, we loved the soups for the day potato, bacon and cheddar! Defiantly worth a stop of you filling up with gas!

We stopped here for gas and I went inside and found The Healthy Tomato. It was sandwiches, etc. but they had a sign for gluten free items, so I asked what they had. They had gluten free sandwiches and pizza, so I ordered the pizza. It was handmade, ready in about 7 minutes and it was delicious! I was so excited to have decent gluten free food on a moments notice!

In a bizarre parody if the name of this place I just watched a young man try to make me a sandwich using the very same gloves that he just moved the garbage can with. Nuh-uh!! Declined the sandwich and had a latte at the coffee shop. Never again
