The Grange USED to be an amenity/clubhouse for the residents of the Meadows. It was full of comfortable sofas, seating areas and conversation nooks, flowers, sculpture and artwork, meeting tables, carpets, places to play games or read, meet your study group or work on a school project, or hold a scout meeting. It was warm and inviting, like a dorm parlor or a hotel lobby. A nice communal place. Sadly, That's all gone. The HOA has gotten rid of the nice furniture, rolled up the rugs that warmed up the space, removed seating areas and game tables, taken down all the artwork, thrown out the flowers and locked the doors. To use our own clubhouse, HOA residents are double charged - first with our dues, and then again in exorbitant wedding-reception prices to "book it" for a few hours. Furniture? Forget it. It's gone. They'll roll out the plastic folding tables for you. And if you have a full time job - forget it. Their limited window of midday office hours means the building will never be open to you unless you plan to pay big $$$ to hire the place. Resign yourself to peering at your own community space through locked doors and darkened windows, remembering that we used to have nice things.

We love the grange!!! We have been blessed to have such a great community center in our neighborhood. From the 3 pools in the summer time to different adult events including Castle Rock Wine Fest, Oktoberfest and ton of events for the kiddos. At Halloween they had carriage rides, live animals AND a free pumpkin for us to take home. They do such a wonderful job providing events to bring us together as a community.

Probably the biggest load of crap I've ever dealt with. At the end of the night we were assembling the entire room and putting it back together and they called the cops on us!! I would tell every single person DO NOT RENT THIS LOCATION!!! The people are so unprofessional and rude it's unbelievable. Save your money and go else where. Unless you want your party ruined and the cops called for no reason. GO SOME WHERE ELSE

I had my wedding here and the venue was great, but the management was awful. We were told the day of that there would be police on site because of an incident the week before. Super douchey move. Also, myself and the groomsmen got there about 20 minutes early to start setting up and they wouldn't let us in. We were literally standing outside the doors with boxes in our hands. The fireplace didn't work and there were screaming kids in the pool next door. Overall, look somewhere else if you don't want to deal with management that has a stick up their yoohoos.

Extremely unprofessional and rude staff at the community center. We visited while considering purchasing a house at The Meadows. They acted like they were busy and cannot be bothered while we asked for basic information - a community map. They told us to wait while they pretended to be busy. While we were waiting, another person walked up and asked for assistance. Suddenly, they became immediately available and helpful. It was clear to us that they had no intention of helping us ... and were probably taking upon themselves to act as screeners as to who should be joining their community.

The Good: nice venue - love the "garage" doors that you can open to the outside - nice pavillion area. We hosted a wedding for about 120 - and it was enough space. There are 2 nice fireplaces (more on that) The Bad: If you want a quiet ceremony in the summer - the pool is open until 8 so that is not likely to happen. The staff is excessively rigid and basically downright unfriendly. They could not have been LESS accommodating to the caterers - but they let the florists in early but made the caterers wait. Then they tried to tell me that we never asked for early admission. That was just untrue. We had asked repeatedly to be allowed in early if no one was in the facility. (I understand it is a community center). Expect to not be able to leave ANYTHING for next day pick up. We had to pay extra for the dish suppliers to have someone there to pick up their stuff at 11 PM. The Ugly - I am not a resident of The Meadows, but have lived in Castle Rock for 25 years. We were notified the DAY of the wedding that an off-duty police officer would be present at my daughters wedding. Talk about being treated like riff-raff. The officer was super polite and stayed out of our way, but our out of town family and friends were wondering why our little town would require a cop at a wedding. I was told afterwards that had they know we had a bartender they would not have had the officer. Well, no one bothered to ask. You have to put a deposit down to rent this venue - no problem. The fireplace was not working and it was a cool night. They gave me an additional $100 back because I complained about it. It had not been functioning for weeks and we were not informed. I was counting on it as part of the ambiance and to throw off some heat on a cold June night. I have very mixed feelings about this place. I honestly did not find one person on their staff that was the least bit personable. I find that part very odd as we were nothing but friendly. They were the nicest when I called to make sure I would get my deposit back -- like I had finally been found worthy since we did not take the place apart. I wondered if I WAS a resident of the Meadows would I have been treated better? I did speak with them about all of this and was told that they have a board of directors to answer to and that is why things are the way they are and that they were writing their contracts now to allow for early entry. So, just be aware - If you are a resident I think it costs nothing o r next to it.
