Grout on bathroom counter is separating. Might not seem like a big deal now, but just think of all the moisture getting in there.

Good value overall and within walking distance to the slopes. Ski valet and kitchenette (with dishes and silverware) is also a nice benefit.Cons:- A bit dated interior (popcorn ceiling)- Dingy smell- Parking is terrible (towing isn't enforced, so non-guests park here quite often)- Hot tub is crowded with little kids (under 10 supposedly aren't allowed)- There are no pool towels - Snow plow in the parking lot at 3 AM kept us up- A complimentary continental breakfast would be nice, instead all you have is the extremely pricey Woodstone Grill

Decent room with a nice king sized bed and pull-out bed. It was quite a drive away from downtown crested butte and during the season we went, their pool was closed so we had to use the hotel next door's pool. Staff were friendly though and the room was pretty clean.

Pros: Location is second to none - it's right on the town shuttle loop and within a couple hundred yards of mountain baseSomewhere in the middle: Gym and pool - both are here, neither are great but they'll sufficeCons: It's an older hotel and the rooms reflect that with outdated appliances and atmosphere; small lobby area with only enough seating for one family but the fire

Poor customer service and billed my credit card without authorization over a MONTH LATER for something THEY forgot to charge. Helping themselves to my credit card that much later should be criminal. And...It's a sadly decorated and dusty old hotel in need of updates and a good cleaning.

Our family of four was excited to spend Spring Break here this year. We had a mixed experience.Pros: -close to the lifts!-we booked early, and during a sale, so the rate was good -staff were quite friendly and helpful! They definitely did their part-ski valet - nice touch!Cons:-as others have stated, the rooms are a bit dated. Not bad, but not amazing -the kitchen supplies were laughable...literally 4 of each utensil, dish, bowl, plate, etc. No salt, sponges, or other basics. Super stingy...why even bother?!-blankets were awful (though they brought extras when we asked)-black mold in shower!!-black mold (yes, again) on the ceiling of the swimming pool (wish I were kidding)-very pet friendly...a pro to some, but kind of annoying if you don't love pets-I'd recommend NOT staying in a room near the end of a hallway (towards the rear of the building). You can hear every loud ski boot step in the stairwell on the other side of the wall (and yes I freaking love skiing!)In general the actual humans who work there made us feel welcome. The room setup, supplies, blankets, and other basics made us feel like Vail was flipping us off after taking our money. Wouldn't recommend

I received rude treatment from the manager, which is the only reason for this poor review. I stayed 6 nights. During that time I did not request any housekeeping service. At the end of my stay, I politely requested one additional hour (late checkout from 11 AM til noon). This request was promptly and authoritatively denied by the reception clerk, so I went back to my room, gathered my stuff and checked out at the standard 11 am.When I checked out,I asked to speak to the manager. It was not a big deal, but I politely expressed my point of view. I was not even asking for anything. Just stating the fact that I was essentially a perfect guest - 6 night stay with no housekeeping. I was asking for one hour.....The manager Mr. Schweikert was rude, telling me the reason I could not check out late was due to snow in the parking lot. He was stressed about it. I asked what that has to do with me, since I don't even have a car? Then he changed his important reason to something else (secondary excuse). Then said if I don't like it, then too bad. After I waited comfortably in the lobby for an hour, I went up and looked my room. Sure enough, housekeeping had not entered the room. So there was obviously a solution that would helped me and not impacted the housekeeping staff at all. The manager Schweikert put more effort into an aggressive defense than it would have taken to find a mutually beneficial solution. He is unnecessarily confrontational.

It's run down. Carpets are filthy and torn and the grout on floors is now black. The closet door was off the track, couch was filthy, furniture very worn. Price was a high for what we got.

We stayed at the Grand Lodge years ago before covid. At that time our stay was great and hotel breakfast buffet was chef worthy. Fast forward to September 2023 the Grand Lodge was terrible. It was old, dirty and run down. The staff was unfriendly and had to find a maid with a cleaning cart in the hallway to get more towels and toilet paper. The restaurant breakfast buffet was equal to a holiday inn express free complimentary breakfast We paid $35 for two people. My advice is to not stay at the Grand Lodge.

We booked a 2 King Bed Suite. When we showed up they gave us a 1 King room and that room had no hot water. They said that we still had two beds (one is a pullout couch with springs popping up) and they would not refund our money, which was pre paid. They offered a minuscule discount and said that's all we were going to get. The front office manager was terrible and started ignoring us before saying "a tantrum isn't going to get you your money back."Bait and switch tactics. Do not stay here. They ruined a family vacation we worked hard for.

Selected a $118 room, ended up costing $200 with added junk fees. Ridiculous. Just tell up front what the cost is going to be!
