The cuisine was a 6 out of 5 Star epicurean delight! Magnificent atmosphere too. -- Lundin after hiking Seven Falls - 160 year old pub, transported and rebuilt, from England, piece by numbered piece, in 1961 in Colorado Springs.@seven_falls @thegolden.bee #birthdayroadtrip #manitousprings #pikespeaksummit #sevenfalls #broadmoorhotel #thegoldenbee #broadmooroutfitters #ziplining #coloradosprings #lundin #lunchdinner #maincourse

We would have given 2 and a half but did not have the option.Golden bee review January 7, 2025.For our 47th wedding anniversary We called and made a reservation, and the gentleman on the phone was very cordial and accommodating to make sure we would have a quiet seating arrangement,., Further from the piano thinking that would be too loud?!. (We had not eaten there before). Little did we know that they have no such seating arrangement. And also, that they already had an arrangement for a very large corporate meeting that particular evening. (Not theirs/!?, but who was to know?) It was extremely LOUD!So, being that we asked for, and desired, that we could have an area other than that, we asked for a nice booth over closer to the piano. It was not a busy night being a Tuesday evening. Plenty of seats, We were refused to be reseated. Even knowing we came to celebrate our 47th Wedding Anniversary. Our first server was wonderful and apologetic and did everything she was able to, to make our dining experience special. Her shift ended a third the way through our meal and she explained we would have another server taking over. THAT'S when the fun was over for sure. The 2nd waitress didn't give a rip.,. The reason?? Because the automatic 20 percent tip is already in the budget, our guess,?,?(Tips are not then, based on the merit at hand) And yes we are of sound minds. The automatic 20 percent 'Service fee' is in there regardless, and, that is placed on TOP of the taxes etc. Not before. And yes that makes a small but real difference. The 2nd waitress was also ready to grab away my wife's $41 Lamb shank, Half of it was still sitting there,, just because she had gotten up to use the ladies room. (Thank God I was present to stop her). All that said, the food was superb. 5 star for the food, the cooks and our first server. But our one Lamb shank dinner and our Buffalo burger, came to over $91 dollars, no drinks and no desserts. We even asked if they did anything special for anniversaries. She/they said "No. A lot of people come to celebrate and they do not do anything special" ???? So, if you want to celebrate at this restaurant forget about any extra special treatment. (As if that itself wouldn't be a "draw" for people to come in??) We think they don't understand business. The cost of business is to give the incentive. Much more profit is to be made this way. We actually know these things. You decide.

They amplified the beautiful piano music tonight to the level of a loud concert performance.....in a restaurant. It was so unbearable upon entry that we asked if anything could be done to turn the speakers down.....it was super difficult trying to even communicate through the noise.Hard to imagine enjoying a nice meal in that atmosphere, so we left. Very very disappointed.

We had the best time visiting the Golden Bee at the Broadmoor in Colorado Springs. This authentic British pub was not only delicious, with great music... it was fun! The guests are "stung" by bee stickers. We loved it! We had scotch eggs, and a beer cheese pretzel. The musician was great!

If you're feeling like fish and chips, hearty soups, or are in the mood to drink a yard of beer I would recommend heading over to the Golden Bee. Being part of the Broadmoor complex, you can always rely on first class service. If you are not already aware, the Broadmoor dismantled an English pub and put it back together brick by brick in its current location. All the fine ornate details in place with the original bar, you'll think you've been transported back in time. Ordered the usual items from the menu including the fish and chips, burger, and a salad and everything was delicious as always.

We went here for a family celebration and were delighted from the moment we arrived to when we left. First of all, the staff "throw bees" at every customer which is an embossed sticker with incredible stocking power. Our group bordered cocktails, cocktails, fish and chips, lamp, the daily special which was carnitas style pork with polenta, and a variety of desserts. Everyone was very pleased with their meal and the service was incredible. Afterward we walked around the Broadmoor hotel which was just getting decorated for Christmas. Highly recommend this restaurant!

We went to the Golden Bee while staying at the Broadmoor in November. This is a lovely restaurant. I have neard they actually had this pub shipped from England and built ut panel, by panel here. The restaurant was very welcoming. Our waitperson , Tristan, was very knowledgeable about the menu and the selections. My husband had a black and tan that was done very well, and fish and chips. I had an IPA and a pot pie. Both were delicious. The fries with the fish and chips were very meaty and delicious as well. For a resort restaurant, the prices were very reasonable. I would definitely recommend!

While a bit pricey, the food is delicious and the service is extremely thoughtful. The building itself is incredibly beautiful and gives off old pub vibes. The bee that you get when you're sat is such an adorable touch. Also, you get charged a 20% service fee (I believe that's what they call it? I could be wrong on the charges name). I am pretty sure that's the standard for every restaurant at the Broadmoor, so just be warned.

Ok so upon entering we are cornered and demanded to give full name and phone number to the hostess???? To eat? Anyways they made it seem like it would be a wait but the place was empty and we sat right away, no kidding right next to the only other table of chatty women.huh? Anyways...the table was wobbly and I asked to move, they said no ?????????and proceeded to stuff napkins under the legs, many servers came out to level the table as we sat and watched. Anyways we order an appetizers and drinks....after waiting to long for a server to ask for our drink order. So the app gets to the table but still no water or drinks....anyways. The soup was horrible and the food was not good. The fish and chips was ok but the slaw and stuff was crap. My burger was an ordinary patty, frozen?, and for 30 bucks it needs to be better by a lot. The gin tonic came out in a tall Coca Cola soda glass?? Ever seen that one??? The dessert was hard like it had been cut previous and left uncovered in the fridge with the ice cream being mainly a crusty icicle . They also gave us a soup container to take the cake home in??? The bathroom faucet was broken and the whole experiment was a miss at every opportunity except that part where the waitstaff auto loads a generous mandatory tip for you...from you??? Anyways. After 250$ bucks for three ppl and one drink I would say that this is the worst place we have ever eaten. Worst, you have been warned. Just an fyi at any respectable place that cares they do a table walk before every shift to ensure the tables aren't wobbly, I will be leaving anywhere the table wobbles from now on before the 250$
