This is an outstanding venue. Has that 1920's feel to it. 3 stars because I called them several times in a one week period to get my credit card back that was left behind after an event & 3 times no one called me back. On the 7th day, I did not rest. I held the customer service agent captive on the call & sweetly demanded that she figure out where my card was & that I wasn't hanging up or being transferred to another voicemail where no one was going to call me back. She was patient & very helpful & found my card. Kudos to that young lady...she definitely gets 5 stars!!!Nice place though and I'll be back!

We went to their NYE 90's event. It wasn't terrible, just really amateur. It seemed like the people in charge of various aspects of the event never communicated with each other. The advertisement for the event before hand was pretty vague, so a huge variety of age demographics turned out which felt a bit confusing. It was very expensive for a fairly disappointing value in service, particularly considering we had no place to sit down. And for some reason they decided it was a good idea to put extremely amateur burlesque acts on stage throughout the night. That's fine on any other night, if that's what they do, but for the kind of money they charged for NYE, it was just more of an annoyance than anything. Again, not terrible, but we definitely wouldn't do it again.

My friend and I attended a comedy show on March 28th. The experience was disappointing because we got vip tickets and yet didn't even have a waitress to wait on us. The show was 2 hours and not one time were we asked if we wanted to order anything. Therefore we didn't have an alcohol beverage during the show. Not even water. We should have purchased the general seating to atleast get a beverage. Also, the mic was extremely loud. The show was entertaining (not as funny as expected) but the waitresses need to be more alert.

I'm rating the show I saw not the venue. Went to see the burlesque show by peaks and pasties. They did their take on little shop of horrors. It appeared that they never rehearsed or learned the words to songs they were supposed to lip sync. A middle school glee club would put this act to shame. However, we both had a good time once we accepted the level of performance for what it was... think drunk friends playing charades. Well worth the $10 per ticket, great drink service and prices. Don't have anything planned go see their show and have fun. Run time was about 2 hours

An understated spot that needs a better promoter to get some amazing events into a beautiful location. I've been on multiple occasions and never had a bad time. The ticket prices can be a bit on the stilted end but the service was great under all circumstances. My biggest piece of advice is to hire some folks to bring in some new patrons and make the venue everything that I know it could be. Comedy shows, drag shows, open mics, themed events with DJs, etc. It's really a shame that the only reason I have ever had to go to The Gold Room is to watch burlesque. Please consider bringing in promoters to wrangle talent and bring diversity to the venue. Oh and a patio type situation would be wildly appreciated as well.

If they spent half as much on the sound as they did on decorating, it would be great. The men's room exhaust fan doesn't work, so it literally smells worse than a bar dumpster at the end of the week. The only good thing I can say is that they don't gouge customers on drink prices. That's it. The only good thing.

The Gold Room is Amazing!! We had the most incredible experience with Hanne Murray who is the Wedding and Event Manager at the Mining Exchange. She is perfection! The total experience from the first call to inquire about venues to the very end was delightful. We chose The Gold Room and couldn't have been more pleased. We wanted something different from the typical hotel ballroom wedding reception and The Gold Room delivered! Hanne is so professional and calming and I was so impressed with how prompt she was with communicating and responding to any questions or concerns. She has impeccable taste herself and her ideas and suggestions were amazing. The vision my daughter had for her reception was completely carried out and was better than she could have ever imagined. People remarked afterwards that this was the party of the year! Amazing food/menu, beautiful tables, gold chiavari chairs, perfect lighting and sound, an open bar both downstairs and upstairs for 5 hours, and all requests fulfilled which made for the most incredible reception ever. I highly recommend hosting your wedding reception or any special event at The Gold Room because you are not only getting a unique and beautiful venue, but a team of professionals led by Hanne who will make your vision come to life!

Went they with my wife for New Years Eve to ring in 2020. I paid the extra price for VIP tickets thinking that meant assigned seats or assigned special area. So if we arrived 30 minutes after the doors opened we would have guaranteed seating. Boy was I wrong. Checked in and the host said find a spot and wait for the waitress to come by and take drink order and give us a VIP RESERVED sign for our table. We have to ask for the sign? You can't just give me on at the door? Waitress never showed up and I had to track down the bar tender to take care of things. Of course all up front tables were taken by people not VIP. So it's first come first serve for tables and the VIP sign only saves what ever table you may find. I'm not a fan of "General Admission VIP". We found one of two tables left in the balcony area. Good thing we were not much later or we would have wasted the extra $50 for our not so elite VIP status. The web site completely lacks information for most any events as well. No details about what VIP means. So just beware. We attended a spur of the moment event las Spring. It was a burlesque show. Ummm well let's just say the Gold Rooms real names is Open Minded Gold Room. Need I say more. The show was entertaining for sure, but not the type of burlesque one would think. Again.... the website did not expand on what one would expect to see.
