The FlaminGo

Awe man...I really wanted to like this place. However, the bacon breakfast burrito was very similar to the rest in town. They are premade and left on a warmer, which creates a nice stiff piece of cardboard for the bottom of the burrito. They bacon is mixed in with the eggs, potatoes, canned green chili and cheese, which takes away from the crispy bacon, leaving you with large chunks of tender ham and mush. The portion was large and the taste was fine but nothing special.With such a great location and simple menu, I think made to order would be an improvement. The staff was very friendly. There is an outside eating area seems pet friendly.

Make sure to stop by the FlaminGo on your way to Monarch this winter! I've had the burrito, the breakfast Sammy, and a healthier option breakfast bowl. All phenomenal. The burrito was big enough to last me two meals!

Easy to pick up and go and the sausage and gravy breakfast bites were delicious! Great option on our way to Alamosa!

Gave the bacon breakfast burrito another try after a big morning of backcountry skiing. Seemed to have some more flavor, potatoes were cooked better and more green chilies. Little disappointed to be offered packets of Cholula ( I have that in my fridge at home). I think a nice homemade salsa or hot sauce would really help step this up into the 5 star range. Also strange that a $10 burrito had $1.30 of taxes, maybe poncha has some strange food taxes?

Friendly service and quick food to go. Burrito was yummy and drip coffee was solid. Will definitely come back on our next trip through!
