Another eatery away from the casino buzz. Service was friendly though we had to request that the appetizer come out first. Still a good experience! Prices are very reasonable. The wings were good. The green chili was great! The one fail was the ribeye. It was a "steak" that you'd get at Dennys with a side of greasy eggs. For 30$, it was ghastly. Overall, come here to eat! But make sure you are clear about the order in which you want your food to come, and get the chili, NOT the steak.

This was a fun night with the hubby. It was my first time coming to Cripple Creek. The people were nice and friendly. The ride up was breathing taking. It was cool, started raining slushy ice due to altitude and the cold. I took the Ramblin Charter bus there. The pizza was fresh, hot and flavorful. I can't wait to come back to really enjoy myself.

This place is TERRIFYING. We stopped in after reading the positive yelp reviews after the ice castles and were met with multiple all-caps signs stating they cannot accommodate parties of more than 6, but waited 10 minutes before anyone even acknowledged us (party of 5; we read the signs and were waiting quietly and patiently). Once they did deign to speak to us, they seemed annoyed to have to do so. One of the all-caps signs noted they were understaffed, and that has to be hard from a staff perspective, but it's also not my fault that The Creek's leadership didn't plan ahead for there being more people in town. We got several weird looks and maybe they would have given any outsider these looks but we did happen to be with a child who is Black, and the entire bar was very very white. It felt so uncomfortable that despite our hunger we decided to leave Cripple Creek to dine elsewhere. I hope the ice castles move elsewhere in the future because I do not ever want to go back to this town or these dining options!

Came with my husband for dinner before going to the ice castles! The staff was very friendly and we were seated within a few minutes, the waiter Brian was super helpful and gave us some tips for other things to do around town. I got a cup of green and a cup of red chili, both were definitely in my top 10! My husband got the bison and it was cooked perfectly, highly recommend getting the mashed potatoes with green chili on top!! I will definitely be coming back here and would definitely recommend it!

The service here was good and everyone was friendly. However, our burger and chicken wrap took a LONG time to come out and the wrap had onions, which I requested be left off. We'd been waiting so long that I didn't send it back. The burger was great. My wrap had great flavor. Once we had the mashed potatoes reheated they were pretty good as well.

Greeted when we went in. Bartender (Jake?) was super friendly. Staff was helpful. Burgers were really good. I loved the fries. It is so hard to find fresh cut fries. These were bigger but not quite steak fry size.

If we only had a No Star rating, that would be this place.I will be as kind as possible since this is a public review, however this place is the bottom of the barrel where food is concerned. We (spouse and I) decided to stop by on Sunday 10/13/2024 to celebrate our anniversary this year. I had no real expectations since I had never been here before, however I at least expected some fair bar food of some level. That is not what we got.It started out fine. We had an older member of the wait staff helping us and things were fine. They kept our waters full and ordered our appetizer. However, my partner wanted the Queen Cut prime rib, which they only serve after 4 p.m. So, we decided to wait, since we had an appetizer coming and it was only another 10 minutes until 4 p.m. We were told that we would have to have another waiter since their shift ended at 4 p.m. That is where things quickly started to go downhill. They brought our appetizer and let us meet our new waiter. She was much younger female with dark hair, possibly a relative of someone in ownership or management. They just seemed a bit young to be in a bar/restaurant environment or just barely old enough. I digress! The new waiter asked me if I needed more water to which I said yes. They took my glass, and I did not see it again for about 30 minutes. And that was after they took orders from nearly everyone around us and made it seem like they were avoiding us for some reason. I literally had to ask for my water back as I ordered a beer and our food, once they finally came back to us after the 30-minute wait.I ordered the Queen Cut for my spouse and I got the Chicken Cordon Bleu. We had high hopes as we ate the appetizer even though the service was tacking a dive with the new waiter. The stuff mushroom was delicious and had a great grilled flavor. So, we got excited to see what would be next as we waited for our food. Well, I wish I would have just had the drinks and the appetizer, because that was all that was worth paying for in this meal. About $20 dollars' worth of value in this entire bill of $99.59 without any tip count. This is where the horrible service meets the poor kitchen staff. As a chef, I am at a loss for where that appetizer came from based on what we got for the meal. It was basically uneatable garbage. I mean the fried okra from a bag was eatable, but the rest was just trash on a plate. As someone that had the job of cooking, cutting and serving Prime rib to include the Queen Cut, it was horrible. To be honest, what they served my spouse was the first cut. To put that in prospective for you, that is the end cut that we would make to even out the end and make all other cuts even and true so I could cut you a solid thick Queen Cut. The first cut would literally be diced up and added to the au jus to add more flavor to it, because no self-respecting restaurant serving Queen Cuts would ever give that first cut to a customer due to its substandard thickness and overly fatness. As for the Cordon Bleu, it was the worst thing I ever tried to eat. It is not uncommon for it to be cut in some restaurants prior to serving, however they typically have a Michelin Star and know how to keep it fresh and juices if they do. This! This was not, that! It was way over fried. To the point it was not recognizable as a Bleu. It was hard to tell if it was cut in half and fell apart or in thirds. However, there was no 3-4 pinwheels on a plate that would be normal for a cut Bleu. To be honest, it seemed like it might have been two cuts of chicken and slice of country ham (not even together), however so over cooked that it was like trying to eat the leather from boots.I will just say that whomever they have in the kitchen, at least on that day, was no chef. I would not even give them the badge of a cook. It was like they had the pot scrubber jump over and run the kitchen. So subpar! It was the first time in my 54 years on this planet that I literally felt ROBBED of my hard-earned money. I mean, I have literally been robbed at weapon point in the streets before and felt less violated than when they handed me the check for this trash at $99.59!
