As a member of this club for just over 2 years, this is the worst club I have ever been a part of. Management is awful and is what has completely ruined this club. They could care less about their employee's but also play favorites as management has their favorites that are 'part of their little club". Management all has dirt on one another so if you ever bring up a concern to them they cover it up or Chris the main manager of the club tries to act like a want to be tough guy and will yell at you the member. I have never seen such true unprofessionalism in any business to be quite honest but this place takes the cake. Also, they have 20% service charge on all meals and promise the waitresses when they start that they receive this but it only pathetically goes straight to the pockets of Chris and Scott. Unfortunately, we quit our membership and figured we were not going to support a club that treats their paying members but also their employees terribly. I highly recommend avoiding this dump.

What a great little track..... It's a hidden gem if you haven't played it. The few times I have played it the greens where smoking fast (difficult above any hole). For a shorter course it plays fun.... takes some thought to get around the course.... ball just goes and goes at altitude. Always seem to fly the greens here. It's seems they have been putting lots on money back into the facilities.... Lots of remodeling going on. I have thought about joining a few times.

I'm struggling a bit with the stars on this one. Let's break it down.We arrived at about 7pm on a Saturday night...and it.was.dead. Maybe 3 other tables in a room of 20? Yikes. Not looking good. Needless to say, there was no wait. I guess that's nice.We ordered wine but they were out of the wine we ordered: a lovely sounding 2007 Syrah/Carmenere blend. The restaurant manager came to tell us that they were in the middle of transitioning to a new wine selection and offered up a few alternatives. Like rookies who wouldn't know any better (which we DO!), we didn't inquire about the vintage but settled on a Cotes du Rhone GSM...unknowingly of the 2012 vintage. It was good, but a bit young and likely not as good as our first choice would have been. Boo.The food: We started with the tiger shrimp cocktail appetizer along with the tempura mahi tuna appetizer. Both really good...highly recommended! My boyfriend got the Spicy Italian Sausage and Scallop linguine entree and seemed pleased. He's a bit of a scallop connoisseur (read: picky) and said that the texture on these were good - not at all rubbery - but a little shy on flavor. Overall, I think he enjoyed his meal. I got the Stuffed Chicken Breast Supreme entree which was very good; spinach fettuccine, perfectly cooked asparagus all in a creamy garlic sauce, and the chicken was delicious. Now, the kicker of the night was a VERY rowdy and rude bunch who were there and had seemingly been finishing up since around the time we arrived...but stayed much longer and left around the same time we did. On one hand it was entertaining. Like a train wreck - you don't want to watch but you can't look away. Most members of their party were VISIBLY INTOXICATED. One kept nodding off at the table, in between bouts of stumbling around the dining area. They were all very noisy and while it was fun to watch, it was quite disruptive and made it hard to really enjoy our meal. Far worse behavior than would have been tolerated at any other reputable country club I've ever visited. I do feel like it should be management's job to say when enough is enough, especially when it's disruptive to other guests, no matter how empty the room. I was a bit annoyed. Though, they do add a 20% gratuity to EVERY SINGLE BILL regardless of how much is spent or how many are in your party so maybe they just didn't care. I don't know.So there it is. The food was good. I was a bit disappointed in the wine situation and I was more than disappointed with how the dining room was run with regards to the disruptive guests.I'd love to return...just not sure when that will happen.

This is merely a review of the restaurant and not the golf course itself. Our party of 7 arrive at 11:45a on a Saturday. New snow meant no gophers. Hope everyone gets the Caddyshack reference. We were the only occupants in the restaurant. All of us ordered some version of a sandwich and drinks, and my 3 yr old had the corn dog. Our waitress arrive promptly to take our drink order, actually came back twice because I couldn't make-up my mind on which beer I wanted. Drinks came out right away and our order was taken. I decided on the club sandwich with fries - it was damn good. Washed it down with a 90 Schilling, which was on tap. The chef even came out to thank us for stopping in to eat. Nice atmosphere, clean restaurant, good food, not over priced ($11.50), and friendly staff = very enjoyable experience.

If you read this review and still decide to join this club, you have no one to blame but yourself. This club actively does as little for its members as possible. It seems clear that their business model is turnover. By not providing any amenities (see review below) they can discourage renewal memberships in order to sign new members. You have to realize they make at least 3X the money annually on new members vs. return members.Members have to watch their accounts closely because each month people have to call in to the club to have phantom charges removed from their accounts. Additionally, there is a 20% Country Club at Woodmoor tax applied to every dollar you spend. Well maintained course that is nearly unplayable. On 16 of the 18 holes, there is OB within 15 yards of the fairway, often times on both sides of the narrow fairways. Tee shots down the middle of the fairway are more likely to go into unplayable rough or OB than remain in the fairway. There is no second-cut at Woodmoor. There is only fairway, hardpan, unplayable, or out of bounds. To put it bluntly, you are often penalized for playing good golf at this course. No real practice area. There is a very small putting green and a driving range with between 8 and 10 spots to hit balls, but that is only enough for people to warm up before they tee off. The entire putting green is sloped so there is no possibility of practicing flat putts or non-breaking putts. With no chipping green, the putting green doubles for a chipping green and the small area only allows chips up to about 30 feet, which is hardly useful for practice. On week days with a league (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday), you can expect a 5 to 6 hour round. Additionally, each of these leagues will have maybe three or four groups of players but the club blocks off three hours of tee times for these groups, ultimately eliminating between 12 to 15 morning tee times every day (48-60 tee spots). This last weekend they had a two day tournament that had seven teams and they blocked off the first 15 tee times on Saturday and the first 20 tee times on Sunday. No ball washers, no benches, few trash cans. The club refuses to provide any golf-friendly amenities to members. You will not find ball washers on the course, and while a large percent of members prefer to walk, there are no benches which means members have to stand around for 5 or 10 minutes on some holes on busy days. While most courses provide ample ways to dispose of their trash, Woodmoor only puts out a few trash cans on the course so walkers often have to carry their trash for a couple holes before they can throw their trash away. Not what you would expect at a private golf facility. No cocktails until 11, no breakfast, no hot food at the turn, no easy to grab lunch options, no beverage cart. In spite of the large membership at Woodmoor, members are denied basic food and beverage options available at most private and public courses. Imagine you want to invite some friends to golf at Woodmoor, your 'private country club.' If you golf in the morning, you will not be able to get a cocktail or breakfast. You will not encounter a beverage cart on the course either. Regardless of when you make the turn, there is no option to grab some food at the turn because they don't offer any quick food options. I've heard you can get a rubbery microwaved hot dog, but no one I know has ever tried that.Between the high number of memberships, the 2-4 outside events each week during the summer, the junior programs, certain members getting preferred group times throughout the week, and most members reserving all four tee times for single golfers, there are very few tee times available to the remainder of members. But you don't have to believe me. Go ahead and join. They will be happy when you cancel your membership in a year or two.

We joined this club back in 2020 and love it. They're constantly making improvements, and it keeps getting better and better without ever crossing into "pretentious country club" territory. The golf course looks amazing and never gets old in terms of play-ability. Both pools are excellent, and the water slide (at the outdoor pool) and diving board (at the indoor pool) are both favorites with the kids. The employees and members here are pleasant, down-to-earth people which speaks to the approachable character of the Woodmoor area in general.

Not luxurious at all, decent pools, but way over priced. Food is not good, no Sauna or hot tub, gym is small and outdated. Only reason it is in business is because no pools around. Soon as a good gym like a Villa Sport or Lifetime open up with an outside pool this place will go out of service. I'm actively looking into this. The staff is friendly, but the management doesn't understand how to make this place feel more exclusive. Putting in some things like a sauna, steam room, hot tub, etc. With towels and all the stuff needed in the locker rooms would be a start. Get some platforms in the gym etc. I like the small town feel, but this place might need some new management and a new chef if it wants to succeed long term.

The course is nice, the staff is terrible. They don't honor prepayments via Golfnow, don't protect tee times (double booked) and are incredibly rude. Avoid and play Bear Dance instead.
