John and Lisa were wonderful. I was there when FOX21 was recording a story that will be on the morning news broadcast next week. John took the time in getting me exactly the right shoe I needed based on my foot condition. Great to report, as of three (3) weeks later, my toe is back to normal, no pain! The HOKAs I purchased are perfect. Will be back to purchase more at the end of the year. Thank you Colorado Running Company.

I haven't been able to run in 20 years, so imagine my surprise when my fantastic PT, Pam, at UCHealth Woodland Park recommended here to fit me for orthotics! Ron and his colleague were professional, knowledgeable and very helpful. With a short, wide foot my addiction to cute shoes has been quite painful. Doing 14eeners with these feet and a bad knee has been more so. These are the best fitting shoes of my entire life and my stance is corrected so no damaging my new (and old) knees!!! The orthotics, trail shoes and amazing socks were reasonably priced. Great job, great service, fantastic product and great price!

I've always wanted to check out this store and I was glad I did! The staff are very nice and knowledgeable about running shoes and helped me to selection the type of Hoka shoes I wanted. They didn't have the right color I was looking for, but I still found coming in helpful to get more information and try on shoes. They have a treadmill where you can try out your shoes and lots of accessories for running. They are able to order shoes online and have them shipped to the store or your home. Great place for all of your running needs whether you're new to the sport or been doing it for years.

I love going to running specific stores. I just feel that the employees are more helpful with meeting your running needs and they have above average knowledge on running a shoes, attire, equipments, etc. I also like how you can run on the treadmill and they record you and then recommend a shoe based on how you run. They also have the cool Dr. Scholl's machine that tells you how you stand and where you apply most pressure on your feet. I also learned that one foot is slightly larger than the other!! I was told this is pretty common tho. I picked up some great massagers that I've had my eye on for about 1 year. The selling point for me was the price and the great military discount they offered. They also have a shoe collection bin. They'll take any of your old running shoes (condition doesn't matter) and recycle them.

(I'm going to update this review when I remember the name of the staff member who helped me. He was truly awesome.)My in-laws and I casually walked in here after our biweekly Trader Joe's haul. I don't know how serious any of us were about buying running shoes that day, but we ended up with 2 store memberships and 2 new pairs. The employee who helped me addressed all my concerns (my shoes get holes in the "bunion" part after 3-4 months) and answered all my questions (Glycerin vs Glycerin GTS) -- in all, giving me the most in-depth running shoe recommendation I've ever received. He did this while attending to my brother-in-law as well. There's a treadmill in the store for getting a feel for the shoes. If I remember correctly, they even have a 1 or 2 week exchange policy in case the shoe doesn't fit as well as you thought. Highly recommend!

Was willing to shell out $200 for shoes but unfortunately no customer service at all. I could hear people joking around in the back but only one person was out front and they were already working with another customer. Disappointed because I would have loved to support a local business. Really expected better :(

I had been having knee issues and read a review of this place doing orthotics so came by. I forget the lady's name but basically brought out 10 pairs of shoes for me to try on and hooked my up with a physical trainer. Refreshing to see people that take pride in there jobs these days. Literally the new shoes and referral has changed my life. Forever greatfull.

I bought a pair of Altra hiking shoes after hearing great reviews. I wore them ONCE on a 6 mile hike, and noticed a hole when I got off the trail. I took them back to Colorado running Co. to get my money back, and found out they only offer exchanges. I didn't want to exchange it for the same shoe for obvious reasons, and they don't carry my second choice. I talked to Nick the manager, and the manager talked to the Altra rep. Neither would budge on their policy for clearly a defective shoe. I was forced to purchase the boots that I wanted at another store, and I'm stuck with $180 credit with nothing else I'm interested in buying at Colorado Running Company. If you're going to invest in a good pair of shoes, take your money to a company that will back up their product.

The Colorado Running Company has an extremely limited and unfavorable customer return policy. My daughter had decided to run in a marathon in May of 2022. First marathon for her and the shoes that she was using needed to be replaced in order to train properly and prepare for the marathon. We decided to go to a local running company thinking that would be the best choice to properly fit her for her running needs. As a running shoe store you would expect to be fitted correctly. Also, I prefer to support locally owned businesses versus buying at a large store like Scheels or REI (but at this point, I wish I had purchased from them).Zev worked with her and sized her as a 7 1/2 running shoe. (The same size as her daily walking shoe). He showed her several options and she purchased a pair on December 23rd. Her birthday was in January so I took a photo of the other shoe box to come back and purchase at a later date for her birthday. Training during the winter months I felt it might be best if she had two pair of shoes in case one did get wet while running during snow conditions.I returned to The Colorado Running Company on January 4th to purchase the second pair of shoes for her birthday. I was going out of town on the 5th of January and returning on the 20th. Her birthday was on the 21st and we were going to drive to Denver for her birthday and give her the shoes that day. On the 21st of January, Colorado weather did not cooperate and there was a blizzard. We were unable to celebrate her birthday and give her the shoes. A week later we were going to see her on January 28th, however her significant other came down with COVID. So at this point we were already pass the return policy and she had not even seen the shoes. I was finally able to give her the shoes on February 19th.She started running in the 7 1/2 shoes she purchased for herself in early January and while running her toes became numb which made it difficult to run or even walk. Her feet were KILLING her. Having purchased the shoes at a running company, who knew her intention to run a marathon, she had no idea what was causing her such discomfort when running in her 7 1/2 shoe. The shoe that had been sized by Zev at The Colorado Running Company. By this time she now had her second pair of shoes that I had given her. She ran in them one time and these shoes caused her toes to go numb also. She decided she needed to visit a running store to see what was causing her such discomfort. She lives in Denver and was not able to drive to Colorado Springs to talk to The Colorado Running Company so she went to a local running shop in Denver. The Denver store told her SHE HAD BEEN SIZED IMPROPERLY. She purchased a new shoe which was a size 9! The Denver running store said that as she ran for extended distances her feet would naturally swell and the shoe needed to compensate for that.Again, she lives in Denver, is training for a marathon, and works around 70 hours a week in her job. So driving to Colorado Springs to address this issue of improperly sizing her shoe with The Colorado Running Company was something she needed to plan in her extremely busy schedule. She finally had time on April 3rd to visit The Colorado Running Company and the manager indicated all he could do was give her a discount for a new pair of shoes. Because it was pass the two week return policy! It wasn't a problem with the shoe, the issue is that she should never have been sold a size 7 1/2 shoe for running a marathon. She is running in a size 9 shoe and is doing great! However, the fact is two pair of size 7 1/2 shoes were purchased and neither of them can be used for the intended purpose of running. It is unfortunate that an actual running company is unable to properly fit a customer for running a marathon.

I went in to buy some good shoes for my new orthotics. Kim helped me find the perfect pair. She was very helpful and patient and fun to talk with. I'm not a runner but it didn't matter. Excellent customer service! I hate shopping but it was a great experience! Thanks Kim!
