The Coll House

The Coll house is a great b&b in a nice location in Crestone. The room was nice and comfortable with everything you need for your stay. It had a microwave and a toaster oven for preparing food which is important because we couldn't find a restaurant open past 4:00 pm. We did get some good pre cooked meats and fish from the mercantile store though. The bed was comfortable, the bath was stocked completely and there was real silverware for eating. Non of that plastic stuff. The host "Marcia" was outstanding and informative along with being quite the chef and baker. Great place. We'll stay again next time we are in that part of Colorado.

Me and my family came across the Coll House when searching for a place to stay in Crestone. We couldn't have been happier with our stay. The room was very spacious and had every amenity we needed. The only regret I had was we didn't opt to get the breakfast since we were visiting family - but the smells coming from the kitchen really tempted me to change my mind. We'll definitely be back in the area and will be staying again.

I have been a guest of The Coll House for over eight years, it's my go-to place when I am in the San Luis Valley or when I need to escape Denver and city life. First, the location of the Coll House is perfect. It is secluded enough for any nature lover and has direct views of Crestone Peak. But, it is also super easy to get to and only minutes from town. It is always immaculate and cozy, just like home or an upper-end hotel. The beds, linens and amenities are always fresh and of superb quality. And the FOOD! Breakfast last weekend was organic-from-scratch quiche, home potatoes, greek yogurt, assorted granolas, tea, fruit and homemade coffee cake for the road! You're not going to find a better B&B host in the Valley, than Marcia. There is something incredibly special about the Coll House. Any stay in the San Luis Valley will truly be better for it.

The Coll House was excellent. Marcia is a very caring and kind person who takes pleasure in making her guests feel welcomed and taken care of. My wife and I did a two-night stay and were very pleased with both the room, private bathroom (which was quite large) and breakfasts, which were phenomenal. This is a great base if you want to hike the 14ers in the immediate area or drive down to he Dunes and Zapata Falls to hike around (which is what we did). If you're lucky, and Marcia's daughter swings by for a visit, you might even get to meet her bulldog Tonka! Can't recommend the Coll House enough. Thanks, Marcia. We look forward to seeing you again!
