Just wow. The Broadmoor is truly a five star experience at the foot of the Rocky Mountains. Facilities are well-maintained, rooms are spotless, service is unbelievable, and the food is delicious across the complex's multiple restaurants. Fair warning: prices reflect the five star atmosphere, but you get what you pay for. My seven night stay here was outstanding from start to finish.

Profiled by security. While trying to view this year's holiday display, my family, including grandparents, and children were turned back by "security" after watching an adult couple proceed without being addressed 20 paces in front of my party. We were disappointed the obvious targeted intervention of security to the group with children while allowing the middle aged couple proceed without being addressed. It's clearly a business only for the "haves".

No visit is complete without a stop at The Broadmoor. I was married here years ago so this is a memorable place in my heart. However, we ate and drank at the Hotel Bar and the hostess stand was a bit much. A bit pretentious. The bar was empty and they took a few minutes to find us a seat? We had some appetizers and a gross shrimp Cesar salad-ugh yuk! Sadly all the flavors were missing. Cold bland shrimp and awful bland lettuce with hardly any dressing ZERO FLAVORS! DON'T GET THIS. How do you mess up a simple salad? The Burrata salad was another mess. It had gigantic slices of tomato with no olive oil and of course it was all pricey. Nothing outstanding stood out on the average menu. A pretzel? No thanks. Sorry, but I'm expecting something a bit more elevated. The watery drinks were a bust too. Go to the Golden Bee instead if you want good food and cocktails and a decent menu. This bar menu and kitchen chef needs a revamp ASAP, especially for the prices they charge for the rooms. You should have the top chefs here! Guests deserve better than this!! The ambiance is gorgeous with seating outside on a patio with incredible views and indoors had a dark moody smokey lounge look. However, I dunno what's going on in the kitchen, please fix this mess! Totally unacceptable.

The Broadmoor is a special place. From the moment we entered the grounds, we were treated with loving care. Everyone you meet, greets you with a smile and an offer of assistance. They think of everything and look after all the details. Check in is quick and easy. Checkout was fast and efficient. Valet parking or self parking available. Rooms are quiet, comfortable, clean and well appointed. Restaurants are world class. Grounds are impeccable. Western art on display in public spaces worth seeing. Fitness center, gym, pool, hot tub, and sauna all available. WiFi. Art galleries and specialty shops available. Tip: In the winter, they have special Colorado residents discounts that are worth considering. We look forward to the next time we can visit.

The Broadmoor - located in Colorado Springs, Colorado - is a luxury resort not to be missed. We had the upmost pleasure of staying at this iconic Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star resort and had the best time.During our stay, we immersed ourselves in the hotel and experienced world-class amenities, exquisite dining, & unparalleled service. The hotel's architecture was inspired by the Italian Rennaissance and made to fit into the mountain landscape, with intricate details & finishes. The resort's grounds were meticulously landscaped, and featured lush gardens, fountains, & breathtaking mountain views. We checked in at the main building and bellman Sean helped us with our luggage; he was professional & attentive and ensured we got to our room with all of our bags without issue. We stayed in the Edith K. Gaylord Suite. The Edith K. Gaylord Suite at The Broadmoor was a luxurious hotel suite nestled atop the Lakeside Building. With some of the best panoramic views of the mountains & lake on the property, it was a dream stay. The suite's opulent decor and spacious layout created a sense of timeless elegance. From the cozy fireplace in the bedroom to the expansive balcony & terrace, every detail was designed for ultimate comfort and relaxation on the grandest scale. The beautifully appointed living room and dining area were equally impressive. The Broadmoor is dog friendly, and our dog Forbes enjoyed the suite as much as we did. There were dog treats, dog bowls, and a dog bed waiting in the room upon our arrival. During our stay, we enjoyed meals at Ristorante Del Lago, Summit, & Sunday Brunch in the Lake Terrace Dining Room. We also visited Café Julie's in the morning for coffee and pastries from the onsite bakery. The chocolate filled croissant was next level. For a quick healthy lunch, we grabbed smoothies and a tuna bowl from Natural Epicurean. During our stay we checked out the Forbes Five-Star Spa for a couples massage. My masseuse Emily gave me a classic Swedish massage that was pure bliss (this is one of the best massages I have ever had). She effortlessly stretched & unknotted across my muscles, melting away tension and stress. Each movement was a gentle reminder to relax and unwind. It was the perfect way to recharge & leave feeling refreshed and rejuvenated.

Wow, where do I even begin with the culinary delights at this hotel? Let's start with the $6 tap water. Yes, you read that right--six bucks for carbonated tap water. Never in my life have I paid for such a luxury!Next up, the pretzel bites. I'm convinced they were imported from a movie theater circa 1998 because even those would've tasted better. The mustard? Foul doesn't begin to describe it. Imagine mixing glue with vinegar, and you might get close. Now, let's talk about the gelato. They advertise it as "churned," giving the impression it's made in-house by some artisan chef. Spoiler: it's not. It comes in a sad little paper cup, frozen solid, tasting like it had spent the last decade in a freezer. The waitress assured us it was "small," but it was anything but... small in flavor, perhaps.I came back to this hotel after a nice stay last year, and while the grounds are still beautiful, the food prices are downright comical. $64 for 10 disgusting pretzel bites, a glass of tap water, and two gelatos from a carton? Absolute robbery.I used to like this place, but never again. Never will I eat here. They know how to rob you blind and make you pay for it.
