The tea room was located in the back of a specialty marketplace. The owners were very pleasant. There were a bunch of cute hats to choose from to enhance the experience. The tea served was a black tea. The food was delicious. There were a variety of tea sandwiches and pastries/desserts served. The sandwiches included cucumber & cream cheese, egg salad, and chicken salad. The sausage rolls were amazing!!! I've never had a sausage roll before. The clotted cream was yummy. The scones were perfect - good flavor and texture. The food portions were generous. I thought the pricing was fair. The ambiance shouldn't be compared to the castles. They're just different styles and should be enjoyed as such. There was a young woman playing the harp which was so beautiful. I enjoyed her selection of music. Such a nice touch.Again, we couldn't have asked for better service.Highly recommend.

LOVED my visit to this store! It's situated in downtown and historic, Colorado City. If you have English, Irish, Welsh or Scottish roots, this store is a must for you to visit. I've always had a love of British culture and their food. Immediately after walking in, I was struck by the long tables of " British Pudding" stacked on them. I ended up buying a Glenfiddich Highland Whisky Cake that is produced by Walkers (product of Scotland) which I've always been a fan of. They produce marvelous shortbread cookies. They had other Walkers products on display which I was happy to see. Be careful during your visit because you can easily spend a lot of money here. They have so many amazing products. This is the best British market I've been to since living in Colorado for many years. They have a cute Police Call Box inside the store with a note that read, "Does Not Open." I imagine so may patrons tried opening the door and probably still try to do lol. I was impressed with their frozen products as well. I noticed British Pasties, Pudding, sausages and various other frozen products in their freezer section. Of course, they have a nice selection of teas. Most of them I'm familiar with but learned of some other brands. Surprisingly, I passed on tea. However, if you need tea, this is the place to purchase it. They also have a nice pantry area with many condiments. I found a malt vinegar that I never saw before. It was tempting to get because I love it with Fish & Chips. They also have the HP sauces, tea biscuits, canned beans and canned peas.Next to the pantry area is a nice display of British souvenirs that feature mugs, and glasses along with other souvenirs. There is a nice tea room area to have tea with friends or family. There isn't a lot of tables but perfect for this store. I like the whole shopping and tea sipping experience here. They offer a traditional British Tea Time experience here. Besides the tea, they offer finer sandwiches, scones, pastries, house made clotted cream, jam, tea biscuits, cake and cheesecake bites. It's recommended to call for tea room reservations. I may return here for Tea Time with friends.Facing the checkout area for purchasing products is a wall of various candy bars. Of course they have a favorite of mine, Lion's Bar. I devoured it after my dinner this evening at home. If you haven't tried a Lion's Bar before and you like a good candy bar, I recommend purchasing one. They sell all of these candy bars in single servings which is nice. As much as I like a good candy bar, I don't like eating a box of them or several. They're fantastic for a nice snack or treat. So, if you haven't visited The British Pantry and Tea Room before, I recommend visiting. It's a great experience! It was also lovely to hear the English accent from the cashier who checked me out. Someone asked her about one of the puddings or fruit cakes there and she was helpful, describing the product in comparison to an American version. If you live in Denver or north of Denver, I still recommend checking this place out. Of course, if you're visiting from out of town, check them out as well. Looking forward to my next visit! Hope your visit here is a pleasant and memorable one.

This place was absolutely love at first sight for me! The lovely British woman that owns the place was so sweet and engaging. We stocked up on lots of imported British tea and foods, like crumpets and clotted cream. We even tried to buy some of the décor accidentally bc it was so cute! Visit this place if you love tea and all things British!

I fell in looooove with their tea time and can't wait to come back for Christmas time. The store is cute and have some fun snacks and food that remind me of London. Which I love a reminder of my time there. So I had to snag a couple of those. But what was the kicker was the tea time. It reminded me of being back in London the few times I've gone. First tea time I've been to that can compare. Every detail is well thought out and the food is wonderful! You will not leave hungry, or unhappy. How could you! Oh! When we went there was a lovely girl playing the harp and it was so beautiful!

I was invited to a small bridal shower for a friend on mine and this was a great place to have it! You got to wear fun hats and the gentleman that served us took several different pictures. The food was sooooo good! My favorite was the butterscotch scone. We were able to stay as long as we wanted and the tea never ran dry. He spilled while filling on of the cups, so he brought out a new saucer and wiped the cup dry. That is great customer service. The little shop had some great candies to choose from and I walked away with a bagful. I plan on bringing my daughters here

My first time eating there although I had shopped many times for clotted cream there- ha. I thought the food and dessert tastes and the presentation of the high tea was really nice. The service was excellent and we did not feel rushed even though it was Saturday afternoon. I thought the tea was lovely but there were no flavor or type of tea choices offered which surprised me. Still, the atmosphere and value of the experience was worth it all and I will be back. You have to make a reservation with plenty of time though so plan ahead.
