Review Visit: June 12th, 2019Luckily, we didn't make too much of an ass of ourselves...While eating at China Wok, my cousin's roommate asked what we were going to do with the rest of the afternoon. After some back and forth, we settled on visiting Cripple Creek and some casinos. After eating lunch and letting the food settle, we hit the road for Cripple Creek. We got some tips from Katie on the drive there (due to the mountain roads) and also which casinos are fun. My cousin and I arrived and parked in a parking lot that is open to the public. We wandered from one casino to the next, winning some money here and losing some there.Eventually, we stumbled in to The Brass Ass and signed up for some player cards. My cousin had never played table games before, so we ended up at the Craps table for our first gamble. We explained to the dealers that we had no idea what we were doing. They were nice enough to explain the rules. After a few throw of the di, we ended up being way ahead of our initial bets. My cousin was up $40 and I was up $25.We left the Craps table and checked out the other table games. We ended up at a table dealing Three Card Poker. The dealer there was also nice enough to explain the rules to us. I decided to sit back and spectate while my cousin played a few hands. Not only was the dealer nice enough to explain the rules, she was sassy enough to keep my cousin in line as he kept doing things not allowed by their casino rules. After my cousin was up and then down... and then eventually down enough that he wanted to quit playing, we made our way back to the Craps table... where we lost more money. Once my cousin lost all his money, we made our way to the Cage so I could cash out my $15 in chips. Before we left, we took a look around to see what else the Casino offered. My cousin found a slot machine to spend his remaining $1 on. After a few seconds, he lost it all.Lady luck sure is a fickle one.

Cool little casino in the Cripple Creek. The casino's owners are the same owners as McGills and Midnight Rose but you can't use tickets between casinos which I found odd. I mostly sit at the bar and drink while I play a little. I am simply the driver that brings my wife. On this occasion I also brought my in-laws and we all enjoyed the casino. Since I was sitting at the bar watching football I was getting my drinks. It seems that they offer you a drink about every 30 minutes. Seems pretty generous to me and reasonable. Don't want to see a bunch of drunks slopping all over the place. My waitress was great, she had a great personality and made a great Bloody Mary. I had two but even though I was there for a couple of hours I had to limit two because I do have to drive down the hill. My wife and mother-in-law both said that drinks on the floor were not great. Only one drink for my wife in a couple of hours of play.

We got there early in the day in the middle of the week. There was a lot of available parking nearby. Inside, the were a ton of slot machines and this casino is connected to 2 others (you can walk through from one to the next while indoors). Note that, as you cash out from one machine and move to the next, you cannot take the ticket and use it in the next casino. The Brass Ass had a unique Harley Davidson tucked away by one of the front windows. The place has a bit of a rustic feel along with some antique memorabilia (even saving parts of the old town such as a staircase by one of the bathrooms) and is definitely a hit with the retirement crowd. We didn't win anything, but we did score a few free drinks. The staff were friendly and helpful. There was a restaurant inside this casino, but we didn't try it out.

I'm not going to read the other reviews because I really enjoyed my time at the Brass Ass & don't really care what others have to complain about. Though I'm not a serious gambler I have been to many casinos (and Vegas)! The Brass Ass had roulette with a $10 minimum bet. I didn't even walk around much because I wanted to play roulette and the table was near the front door. The dealers, though not as experienced as a dealer in Vegas, were friendly, honest & patient. The Brass Ass was clean and there was no line to cash in chips. I was having way too much fun to order or drink or notice if there was a waitress. Check it out for yourself! And always bet on black!!

This is a review for the casino. We had a $10 free slot play credit and the lady at customer service allowed both of to use the coupon, even though we only had one copy. We signed up for our casino cards, and got busy spending the money. The lady at the customer service counter was exceptionally nice, and helpful.

Over the fourth of July weekend Sir Nicholas and I visited Cripple Creek and ended up back at the Brass Ass because it's one of three, or possibly four, spots in the town that offer black jack and craps. I was hesitant to go after our last experience, but I'm really glad that we ended up here as it was my favorite spot of the trip.First up, the cocktail waitresses were 1000 times better. Super friendly and they came around often which was nice. Second, there was a large group of regulars that were awesome to hang out with. In fact they were so nice two of them gave Nick and I vouchers to try the buffet downstairs (that will be in another review) from their frequent player accounts. And finally, we won. So, all in all, the Brass Ass is back to the top of my list for black jack in Cripple Creek.

My family and I went to Cripple Creek for my sister's late 21st birthday celebration and the employees were very rude and dismissive. I was gambling and trying to show her how to gamble, and my sister tried to order a drink and they said no because she was not physically gambling. She then walked to the bar on the lower level and ordered a drink, and was asked where she was gambling. She told them at the blackjack tables one level up and with a snobby attitude they told her "go order from your bar tender up there."Being 21 and not truly being comfortable with confrontation with a bartender double her age, she came back to us and said she couldn't get a drink. This led to us speaking with the manager who didn't do anything either. Overall, not a great experience, she did not have fun, told us she wouldn't want to go back. Which is very unfortunate since we love cripple Creek. I would 100% recommend Bronco Billie's or the Golden Nugget. Much more kind and friendly staff! Definitely WILL NOT be going to Brass ass again!

Staff was rude. Drink service was extremely slow. Was told only one drink allowed every thirty minutes but it would take an hour for the one drink girl working the floor. Definitely better places to gamble in cripple creek. Don't waste your time stopping here.

The wife and I come out to Cripple Creek a couple times a month and this is consistently the worst place to stop. They've got one waitress working the entire place so don't plan on getting more than a single drink and that's if you're lucky. If you're gonna be sitting at a table for a few hours, you're much better off just going to Wildwood.

Whole staff was rude as hell. Refused to give drinks and said we had to pay. Will never step foot in here again
