The Book Nook

Stopped in here today to find old classical books for a family member. Boy, did I hit the jackpot! Scored an 1896 set of The Temple Shakespeare! The owners (Cathy and Owen) were a delight and very helpful! So glad I found this gem today. I'll definitely be back!

I'm so glad I popped into this book shop! From the outside it looks tiny, but once you get inside it just keeps going and going. Really well organized, and tons of stuff to look through. The kids' section is especially awesome. A nice little touch: a bowl of trail mix with a scoop and Dixie cups, and a bowl of chocolates. Because who doesn't love a little snack while browsing through books!

What a cool hidden gem this place is. We took the kiddos and they loved it. The service was amazing and a very cool atmosphere. Do the peace walk as well.

I stopped in at The Book Nook after taking a wrong turn and I am so glad I did! There's a nice collection of books, antiques, games and more. There are so many thoughtful touches such as the little cubby hole under the stairs for children, the cookies in the kitchen, the peace labyrinth and the rock to take out in the barn. If you have time to talk you might learn some fun factoids about Buena Vista as well!

A charming used and new book store located in a house where the owner originally lived. They have a decent selection of local travel/hiking books as well as books covering almost every genre I could think of. We were there looking for a hiking guide for Buena Vista and Salida. Turned out the only one was out-of-print. The sales assistant went out of her way to look for it and finally sold us the original store copy. Talk about great customer service! We returned a 2nd time just to browse and found a lovely scarf. In addition, there are often home-baked cookies for visitors!

One of my favorite places ever. We make a point to stop in for a visit every time we are Colorado. Love the owners as well. Worth a stop if in town and worth a long drive if not!! Seriously what other bookstore serves you fresh bakery and coffee while you browse?!

A cute little book store. New and used books. Nice selection of puzzles. Also some arts and crafts. Owner was very friendly and helpful.

My 29 daughter wanted to buy a puzzle to do while we were on a mini- vacation. We saw an add for Book Nook and noticed they had some puzzles. We visited the "house" and loved all the books throughout the whole place including the kitchen! I ended up with a puzzle, a Louis L'Amor book for my husband and for me a book called Remington and Russell - which shows artwork from the Old West. We recommend you visit!
