The Blue Moose Tavern

The Blue Moose Tavern was great! In such a cute little town, where everyone including the staff was welcoming. The atmosphere is cozy, with a stage for live music and lots of great seating. Our food was incredibly cheap, and delicious too - your standard yummy bar food. We want to come back in the evening for drinks next time!

We stopped here on the way to the ice castles in cripple creek! What a great bar with the best options! The food was great and service was wonderful. The waitress was able to handle so many people at once and it was a cozy place!

We are staying nearby so came over on a Monday evening for dinner. Our experience was very good, everyone was friendly and service was quick. We shared a large house salad which was very fresh (the house jalapeno ranch dressing is fairly spicy) and a pizza (The Slope) which was excellent with crisp crust and great flavor. It was fairly quiet but there were others eating and hanging out near the bar. The prices were very reasonable too!

I would recommend doing the mount dewy loop and then stopping here for pizza and a beer because it makes for a perfect day. There is an inside and outdoor patio, both with amazing ambiance. I had an amber ale with veggie pizza and not only was it delicious, but such a great deal too! My server/bartender was very cool and great about checking in with me throughout my experience. This tavern definitely has a dive bar feel, which I love. It seems like a local spot!

Friendly service, good food, great beers, and a clean restroom. What more do you want? Big screen tv? Got it! Patio dining? Got it! Go check them out!!!

We've been in the area for years and have never tried this place. This place is a relaxing, laid back bar. There are pool tables inside and outside seating. They have a nice selection of beers and libations. We were told the pizza is the bomb and it did not disappoint. The crust was my favorite part as it is crispy and thin. They have a nice selection of toppings that range from elk sausage to pepperoni. Atmosphere is just what you'd want from a local bar - staff and locals were super friendly. Note.... They are not in any hurry.... So be prepared to relax, settle in, and wait a bit.

Stopped in after our drive through Pikes national forest. Old town ambience and stripped down menu. HadThe wings and Slope pizza. Wings are fabulous and the thin crust pizza was enough for 4. A mix of diners and day drinkers. You can do either. May post pics later. Good service too.

We had the BEST experience here. Firstly, the atmosphere was welcoming and cozy. We had the most authentic server that was genuine, charismatic and made the experience ten times better by making sure we stayed very hydrated and got plenty of delicious iced water. The food was so artisanal and delicious - the most mouth watering jalapeño poppers of all time. We HIGHLY recommend for anyone in search of peace, dream, feast and less!

I'm here again at the Blue Moose. Today I Just wanted a place to hang, enjoy a beverage and a snack. the ambulance is perfect; a light breeze and a view across the town's centerpiece: a gazebo surrounded by a small lake. These days the Canada geese waddle their way through the area.

This folksy bar and grill has a great vibe. It appears to cater to both a local crowd and to folks passing through. It's got a spacious outdoor seating area with good Mountain View's. The inside dining area (which I've not tried yet) looks cozy and a bit dark -- just the kind of place I enjoy afternoon suds and food.It's got a healthy array of interesting beers -- on tap and by the bottle. Good pub food -- I especially enjoy the cheeseburgers and Gator Bites. Friendly staff and a certain sense of neighborliness on the outside patio -- you and your pup will feel at home here.
