Bob and Cece were super friendly! You have to get the chips and it's perfectly beer battered and apple slaw coleslaw is one of the best I've ever had

This seems to be a nice pub with pretty good food. We decided to try it after reading some of the good reviews. We arrived at 1 PM, after the lunch rush. Sadly, the only server appeared to be the bartender who seemed harried & overwhelmed. There were five or six booths and the rest were high top tables or bar seating. Most of the booths were taken when I arrived, but I did find one, which was important to me because I have trouble with the high-top tables and my ankle.As mentioned in the Tips section of yelp, the menu shown on yelp is not at all the menu at the restaurant. We both ordered iced tea, which they brewed fresh for us. We decided to try the block nachos, then my husband had a (grilled) chicken Caesar salad while I had the hatch burger with sweet potato fries.The block nachos were a little disappointing. There were a pile of chips, covered in melted cheese, possibly cheese whiz, but probably not Velveeta. Then a side of lettuce, tomatoes, sour cream, and salsa was served to top the nachos. The cheese on the nachos was very bland , while the salsa was medium, and the jalapeños were hot.My husband's grilled chicken on his Caesar salad, had been slightly burned, but was still edible. My burger was delicious, but I got the sweet potato fries, hoping my husband would share them. Unfortunately, they were coded in brown sugar, which he does not like. So I had dessert with my burger.The bartender/server did her best and was very pleasant whenever she interacted with us. She even offered us tea to go, but she had to go brew. I hope to go back to this restaurant and try some other foods that sounded good. Hopefully the nachos are a one off.

Good vibe to watch the game. Food is decent and comes out quick. The Birria tacos are really good! They have a cool little sportsbook in the back!

The bar tender was absolutely the best ever. The food was not good, wings not up to par and nachos not great. Bar wise would be a place to meet up and have some drinks. Again the bar tender was the best she was quick and knew how to manage a crowd.

Hubby and I have stopped in several times. This place is very clean and friendly staff. We have enjoyed the jalapeño poppers and the pork green chili. I know my green chili, I'm from Pueblo and this chili is spot on!!!! Ciicii and Carissa will take great care of you. Can't wait to try the stuffed potatoes on Thursday next time.

Went here for the first time,nice lowkey bar downtown. The server allowed us to seat ourselves and was very attentive even though we took forever to order. The kitchen manner came to check on us to see how we enjoyed the food which was delicious. My sister and both agree could of used some sour cream on our potatoes but we like sour cream.You will enjoy it either way.

Tejon Street in Colorado Springs is quickly evolving into a mecca of superb options for foodies. On Friday night, we opted to seek a divey bar experience to let the steam of the week off. We chose The Block Bar and Grill as I had been hearing whispering of delicious eats. When we first arrived it was a little early and it was quiet. This didn't last long as within about 15 minutes, it started to get packed. The bar itself had multiple large TVs but also small tvs at each table plus a pool table. At first, there was only one server so we were a little worried but quickly troops arrived and we were off to the races. They have a great list of beers and a full bar. I am less than creative with the cocktail scene so it always helps if there is a drink list for me but absent that and based on the need to drive home, I didn't grab a drink here. We started with the Irish nachos. When these came out, it was clear that this was more than your average starter. A plate full of fresh wonton chips covered in sauerkraut, tender corned beef, Swiss, and thousand island was delivered and the flavor just kept pulling us back in, despite the fact that we had ordered entrees. This starter hit every flavor note from the peppery corned beef to the sweetness of the thousand island only to finish off with the tang of the sauerkraut. I ordered the Korean chicken tacos and my husband took advantage of the Mclovin burger which was the special. My Korean tacos had pickled red onions, cilantro, Korean chicken in wonton shells. They too, were absolutely packed with bright flavors, crunch from the wontons and the cilantro gave it a beautiful brightness. My husband's burger was where the magic was. The server described it as kind of like a Big Mac. This burger did have some echoes of a Big Mac although this was not your simple McDonald's cuisine. The Block's quality of beef and the seasoning elevated that burger out of the stratosphere. It was dripping with cheese and more of that thousand island dressing. It was served with some nice crispy fries. The service was on point throughout the meal. This is a spot we will definitely be visiting again!

Im literally still here eating but had to leave a review. The bacon jam burger is THE BEST burger i have ever had in my life. My boyfriend got the Colorado Club and loved it as well. We agree that this food is SO good and the prices areeven better! We're here on a busy Saturday night with a UFC fight on and there is only one server, but let me tell you she is KILLING IT!! The vibe is amazing and everyone is so nice and attentive.

Went to lunch at The Block and had a wonderful experience. The food was excellent. I had the pork green chili and the birria tacos. Both were delicious and sweet and heat of the tacos made me want more. The service was friendly and fun. The prices were very affordable. I enjoyed my experience and highly recommend The Block for lunch.
