The Art of Bridal & Couture Alterations

I went to a gala wedding and need of my dress altered around the boob/ mid back area. From the moment I first walked in, to the try-on, to the finished dress to pick up was absolutely amazing! One of the things I wanted was the dress altered for this event with the option of having it go back to the original. Working with the art of bridal and couture was a pleasure and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND if you need a dress altered to come here! They are a pleasure to do business with, easy to work with, competitively priced, and their work is flawless!See attached pictures.

I would not trust anyone else with my alterations. Karen has the experience and skill to make an off-the-rack blazer and pants look like it's all custom made. Plus, she's a pro. I've been in TV for over 20 years and sometimes the pieces I get aren't always the best fit...Karen knows how to make them camera ready. No matter how busy she is, she's been able to find time for me, and I really appreciate that in this extremely unpredictable world. You won't be disappointed.

There was a beautiful jacket that I purchased on clearance that was a full size too big for me in the hopes that I could get it altered to fit properly. I had two alterationists tell me they couldn't do it. I took it to Karen at ABC Alterations, and she was able to essentially deconstruct and rebuild it to my specifications, and the end product was amazing. She was wonderful to work with, and her prices were very fair. I'll continue to use The Art of Bridal & Couture (ABC) Alterations for all of my closes, regardless of how large or small the job is.

Everything was great! My dress was too big for me and even though it was a difficult fabric to work with they did everything they could to make it perfect! The customer service was excellent and made my day. The price was very good compared to other places for very good quality. My dress was ready surprisingly quick and fit perfectly.

Very pleased to find this shop! Karen, the owner, was so kind and friendly, and made time for my fitting with her helpful assistant, Mary Jo, even though they were extremely busy with bridal fittings and alterations. Fast, friendly service. Karen was great to work with. I brought in 3 dress shirts to have the sleeves taken up a bit. Karen treated me like I was royalty, not just some small alteration job. Highly recommend.

I have multiple custom pieces, as well as altered garments that have been crafted and created by couture artists Karen & Sue. These ladies are remarkable at what they do. I highly recommend reaching out to them if you want the best in high quality alterations, or a custom garment made for you and your signature style. They will communicate with you what your needs are and also be certain that you look your best when the garment is complete.

I brought in a summer white dress with balloon sleeves that I wanted the seamstress to reduce the sleeves and include a hook closure in the chest to cover more skin. I forgot her name unfortunately, but she was so dear and kind. I got the dress back yesterday, and I just tried it on. I couldn't have envisioned a better job if I tried. She got the sleeves perfectly, perfectly tight enough for my arms to still fit but for me to not look like a linebacker. And the chest closure is perfect. She used a clear button method so when you snap it into place it's invisible completely. I cannot recommend her enough, I know she focuses on bridal, but she does other things as well. A+.
