Tapsile African Hair Braiding

Beautiful shop and the price of the microbraids was on par with other locations in the US that I have gone to for services. When I voiced my concerns they were polite (in english). I have no idea what they were saying in their native language. HOWEVER... This is not the place to go to if you are getting microbraids with human hair. I have used the same hair with a previous braider in San Antonio with no problems.The appointment started off slowly because they first had problems grabbing the hair. I stretched my 4C hair prior to the appointment. As a solution, the braiders used an insane amount of product to get the hair to braid. When I looked up, I saw massive amounts of white product at the base of my scalp. It was unsightly. I was assured it would be cleaned up when they finished.Because of the large amount of product utilized, the human hair that I paid (89 and 99 dollars respectively) for became sticky and somewhat rigid. At one point I looked up at my hairline and noticed that the parting for the braid in the front was insanely irregular. I had to ask them to fix it.Several braids had knots that were slipping when she said she was done. After slathering insane amounts of product into my hair, I had to point out each braid that I found with loosening knots. She said it was because the hair was human, but any one that has worked with human hair knows this is either due to inexperience or negligence.The solution to getting the stickiness out of my hair was putting in more product. I had to ask her to use water to remove the really hard gel from my edges.Overall, my hair looks okay. But after performing quality control as a client throughout this 7 hour experience, along with a feverish need to wash this s*** out my hair, I would say that the juice is not worth the squeeze. Find another braider that can handle human hair.I also forgot to add: When you ask for a photo of a client's hair as a reference, it is not a f*****g permission slip to scroll through their entire photo album! Insanely unprofessional!

Excellent service. JOYCE was on time the salon was clean and she did a phenomenal job. I am so glad I found her being new to the area. I highly recommend this salon. I'm actually not dreading my next visit.
