Tacos La Mina

Excellent carnitas tacos. Authentic. Minimal English. I was not sure if they serve gluten free food.

Sooooo disappointed in our visit. Prices online for the tacos were $2.95 then margaritas were $6.. show up and ordered 15 tacos and 5 margaritas for the family with a queso and it was $140...WILD. And the tacos were actually the driest tacos I have ever had. Couldn't even finish the chicken ones. Margs were so strong lolTell me why my sons corndog was the best part haha

Service was very good. The food was fresh and tasty. They have some great hot sauces !

This is an awesome little taco joint. The tacos are already flavorful but the sauces are what make it. They also have a pretty good tequila selection and make a tasty paloma or margarita. Perfect lunch stop if you are in Leadville.

Perhaps I am spoiled being from CA and having really good Mexican food? Even so, based on the reviews on Yelp I was hopeful.I ordered the carne asada burrito which the menu says is meat, rice and beans. What I received included just the meat and rice. My partner ordered the shrimp burrito and his was missing the beans as well. The restaurant was busy so I am guessing that they ran out of beans, but why couldn't they have mentioned that before we ordered?As for taste, the asada was good, but there was a flavor perhaps in the sauce on the wet style burrito or the cheese, it tasted off. The shrimp in the shrimp burrito tasted like plain old boiled shrimp with no spices or seasoning. At $13 a burrito it was more than disappointing!Would try another place in the future.

Local tacos in a small town, with Yelp leading the way? Always a home run. Walking in, the menu is to your left, on the wall. We visited in winter and weren't able to take advantage of the outdoor dining area, but found a window booth and were just as happy. It's a small space inside, but man, were we happy to have stopped in. First, let's talk margaritas. After all, what goes better with Mexican food? You're right, nothing! Good margaritas, for me, are a good sign that flavors will be balanced in the entrees as well. Tacos La Mina gets 5 stars. It is the simple things, my friends. Now, on to our food. We started with chips and salsa. I was impressed with the salsa and had to pace myself so have some left for our entrees, lol. Not a bad problem to have. We ordered tacos and soup Azeca. This food was amazing. Bright flavors, great salsas and nothing that overpowered other ingredients. My soup was so very good, light but also tasty and filling. The broth was seasoned well and had that "I've been cooking for hours" taste. Yum.Tacos La Mina is a gem. Def stop in and prepare to be delighted.

Cool that this place still seems to be open! They said they were closing after the last time my friends and I visited. Went to La Mina for Taco Tuesday on our way home from camping. Reasonable beef taco specials, in addition to the house margarita, pescado ceviche, and churros we got. The chips were a little stale, and the margarita was too syrupy, but the ceviche was fantastic. Even though La Mina wasn't my favorite restaurant overall, I'd still come back to support this local Leadville establishment. Plenty of menu options and hard-working staff.

This SO hit the spot after a wet and tiring weekend backpacking in the area. I loooove breakfast burritos and this one was delish. My friend got a sandwich and fries and I have to say the fries were perfect. We sat outside because it was so nice out and got to enjoy some nice views. Everyone here was kind and friendly, and I hope to come back to try something else (and get those churros, they look so tasty).

The food was alright. Service was not. The second I walked in, the bartender could have cared less that I was there. He was not a friendly guy. I ordered birria tacos and a Dos Equis. No consumme with the tacos and limes he gave me were dry. He didn't once check on me. So I don't recommend this place.

Quick service at the window or inside. Food is always consistent and tasty! Indoor and outdoor seating.
