This is a nice, casual place offering authentic street tacos. They also offer Tortas and Burritos, but I only tried the tacos. The Quesabirria and the Carnitas tacos were awesome! Perfectly seasoned, so I didn't add any salsas. I will definitely be going back!

This Tacos Del Gordo location has quickly become my go-to spot for Mexican food (not that there aren't a couple other places that are rad too). Not sure why another Yelper would mistake TDG as a "Tex-Mex" place. It's anything but that. This is legit taco truck Mexican food that just so happens to be in a brick and mortar location. Service in person at the counter or through the drive-thru is always prompt and accurate. The food! So damn good. My typical order is the Adobada Pork Nachos! It is massive and truly should probably be shared with a friend or two. I have a hard time doing that because they're so good. The other must have is the quesabirria tacos! Ambiance is bright, clean and festive. Get there today!

This is the only Mexican food I've tried in The Springs that even comes close to the Baja-style Mexican food I'm used to in San Diego. Prices were WAY more reasonable than other Mexican restaurants that try to charge a ridiculous amount for what it is, and it's not the usual Tex-Mex you tend to see around here. I ordered the carne asada taco plate, and would just suggest seasoning the meat more and making the salsa less watery and spicier. Overall, SO relieved to finally have a great go-to option since the lack of delicious Mexican food is my only complaint about living here!

This is one of the most unassuming places from both outside and inside. It looks like it may have been an old fast food joint switched over? All that being said, food was delicious. Liked the small salsa bar they had to offer. Prices were actually reasonable. We tried a few of the tacos (carne asada, carnitas), quesabirria (yum) and my son got the cheese quesadilla (standard meal for a 3 year old) but he devoured it!We will gladly come back and try more of the menu!
