Came here for dinner with friends. They were doing happy hour all Sunday which was very nice! I got a mango margarita and I really liked that it wasn't overly sweet. We each ordered 2 tacos and they were a good size and filling. All the staff we interacted with were super friendly and polite. The music inside was fun and the location looked clean and well kept. Good spot!

What you're reading is spot on. Only four stars just because it's not a full-on restaurant with a variety of entrees--- it's a street taco bar, and really good one.Sampled four different ones along the way -- pork belly, chicken, shrimp, and mushroom -- all delish. And yes, the margaritas are, in fact, awesome -- the regular and the spicy.Sat at the bar both visits, and service was friendly and attentive...emphasis on friendly! Not a fancy place by any stretch, but a fun place to grab an interesting lunch.

T-Byrds Tacos & Tequila in Downtown Colorado Springs has a great look: their branding and decor is on-point. The service, however, was severely lacking to the point it was non-existent.LOCATIONFirst, let me begin with their location: T-Byrds was easy to locate and they were across from the park. Find the first open parking spot and walk over to the restaurant.ATMOSPHEREUpon entry, we were greeted by the gentleman behind the bar. The music was a little loud for conversing but it didn't bother me much because I enjoyed the music - it was just hard to hear my coworkers during our table conversations.FOODI thought the food was okay. Here is a list of items I ate:- CARNITAS TACO: The meat was tough and the pico de gallo was okay. I'm not sure why it was topped with green bell peppers. That wasn't described on the menu. Plus, I thought it was weird. Why not just a simple cilantro to top? - PINEAPPLE EXPRESS: This was the better taco of the two. The pulled pork was juicy in the sweet Thai chili sauce and bits of pineapple. The crunchy fried onions on top surprisingly complemented the entire taco.- GRILLED ELOTE BOWL: I enjoyed this side dish over the two tacos. The corn bits were perfectly grilled. It had a nice bite to it and the flavors were great.SERVICEThe service was atrocious. Our server didn't bother to check on us - we flagged her down once during the only time she passed our table. The bartender even passed us as well as another employee. Not one asking if we needed anything. Nothing. The funny thing is the restaurant wasn't even full! I think our party would've enjoyed the food and atmosphere more had the service been better.Overall, I think T-Byrds has potential for improvement. What they have going on perfectly IMO is the decor and branding. I liked their physical menu and the fonts (typography). Opportunities for the biggest improvement would be in customer service. As for the tacos, they are definitely different from the tacos I've had in SoCal. I prefer a simpler menu with simple ingredients as opposed to fusion/"trendy" tacos. The presentation was off - definitely wouldn't use green bell peppers to top off tacos or "julienned" onions that appeared to have been cut by either a dull knife or a 5-year-old.

The moment we walked in the big girl behind the bar had an attitude about everything! I don't care how good the food is, if workers are rude, I'm not spending my money here! She needs to go! Owner needs to send in mystery person. I rate this place zero

I used to love this spot a lot. But with the new location it just totally threw me off. The food was way too greasy and the tortillas were drenched, the music was deafening and with the extra large tables you couldn't even hear the person you were sitting with, and the servers were way too far spread out and exhausted that we couldn't get the attention of anyone to get anything other than our food delivered. I really am bummed because their wontons and their pickled pig tacos are my favorite, but I won't go there again.

We came here starving and ready to eat. The staff was great and food came out in a timely manner where we weren't left waiting. We ordered the pork wontons and chips salsa starter. Would recommend, I really liked the sweet chill sauce that comes with the pork wontons. I will say I wasn't the biggest fan of the tacos. Usually the problem is the there isn't enough filling but there was a lot but the tortilla wasn't big enough. I ended up eating most of it with a fork. I wasn't the biggest fan of the tacos flavors, I would though come again and try different tacos.

My friends brought me here when I was visiting, they have great drinks! However, you can't bring a Texas girl to a taco spot in Colorado we have high standards when it comes to tacos. The queso was great, and I really enjoyed the salsa. The guac, not so much. They serve small tapas style tacos which are great for snacks and they were satisfying but they didn't blow my mind. I would still come back, it's a fun place and as I said they drinks are GREAT!

We ate at T-Byrds on a recent trip to COS. The first time was just for a snack and a margarita in the afternoon. The next day we went back for a more formal late lunch. BOTH times we ordered several dishes, but the one that sticks out to our entire family was these INCREDIBLE nachos! Prior to this, my wife and I always said that the best nachos we had ever had in our life were at a tequila bar in the Charlotte, NC airport. No more! The nachos from T-Byrds are without a doubt, hands down, THE best nachos we have ever tasted. All of the food is good here, but the nachos simply CANNOT be beat! Our local Mexican restaurants in the metro Indy area really need to step up their game!

we asked the waitress to turn the music down and she did not. Food was in the mid section. I ordered a cheese quesadilla and they gave me a chicken one with onions and I said no ONIONS . WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. The cheese was weird and THICK. But come here if you dare.

Male bartender very rude when asked questions. His comments were "the menu is your best friend" there were only 3 people there and the 3 were together. The female bartender was nice. He made you feel unwelcome and bothered. He was friendly with the other ladies. Maybe my friend I was with was not the right skin color.
