Sunshine Café

Food was perfect! Service was even better! Kevin is fantastic at his job. He is very charismatic, attentive, and great with social interactions. You can tell not only by interacting with our table but how he makes everyone feel comfortable at surrounding tables which sets a nice tone for the restaurant. He gave us great advice about hiking in the area. He was also extremely nice about letting us stay around the 90 minute table mark. That was a huge help since we were traveling and needed somewhere to get some things done. Food, I had the trout with SSU eggs and it was fantastic! We also had the chorizo Benedict with sides of corned beef hash and French toast. Everything was cooked perfectly and extremely tasteful. We sure will be back when in the area. The food was great but Kevin made our experience worth coming back for. We will watch out for the mountain lions that are rarely seen there except for your random interaction. Good to know about hiking there. Thank you Kevin!

Overall this place was decent for breakfast. I like that they have the option for 1/2 meal portions (they're not half the cost, but still a little reduced). I had the 1/2 country breakfast with sourdough toast. The toast did not taste like sourdough, and the scrambled eggs were bland of course, but the sausage was good. The 1/2 blue river was a way better choice, as it was an egg scramble with lots of flavor from all the toppings like onions and cheese. I had a pumpkin butterscotch muffin (grilled) to go. Grilling didn't really do much for it. It was a very basic muffin with a few butterscotch chips scattered in. I'd come back if I were in the area and looking for breakfast, but I wouldn't drive out of my way to eat here.

Had a quick bite to eat here while out shopping - French toast and crispy bacon were cooked perfectly! Waitress was friendly and service was efficient. Restaurant was packed and had a nice vibe.

Food excellent, service superb. I had the Sunshine omelet (has shrimp, mushrooms, cheese, avocado), hash browns and English muffin. My husband had Rueben and fries. No waiting on very cold Tuesday morning in January.

We stopped in to this cafe on our way to Vail and had a really nice hot breakfast. The waitress was not exactly engaging or kind, but not technically rude either- just short/abrupt and didn't smile. The food made up for the service as it was really tasty and just what we needed on a colder morning heading to the mntns. The cafe is conveniently located next to the outdoor outlet mall in Siverthorne, gas stations, pharmacies and more! I'd recommend for breakfast.

Love the adorable vibes of this local diner. Staff was very friendly. Their menu is inclusive of all diets and preferances. There's breakfast and lunch options. I started with a French vanilla cappuccino which was great but very, very sweet. Towards the bottom of the cup I had to add water to dilute it so it wouldn't taste like straight up syrup. For a main, I opted for the corned beef hash breakfast with a side of biscuit. Everything was delicious and made fresh. The corned beef was just the right amount of savory and joy overt salty or oily. My eggs were perfectly over easy as I ordered. The hash browns were light and the biscuit was fluffy. Perfect fuel before the winter activities!

Just wow. Vika js awesome. Maybe the best server I have had in Summit County. The half option is also great and my Irish Bene was perfect to start the day. Cant believe it took me this long to make it in but will be back!

Our experience at sunshine Café was great! Our server Claudio was super attentive and nailed all the details of our order! When we sat the staff also realize we'd be much more comfortable at a bigger table, so they moved our group quite quickly without us asking. I ordered the huevos rancheros with added bacon, and the green chili on top. The meal was killer and I highly recommend not having to drive down the mountain after eating this because a nap would've been much better. I also had a spicy Bloody Mary Which came with a pickle, some banana, peppers and bacon in it. My only qualm with anything at this meal is that my bacon was at the bottom of the Bloody Mary, which was kind of wet and congealed. Would have been much better if it were on top!We had to wait about 45 minutes to get a table at sunshine Café and it was definitely worth it. Will be back in the future for any other mountain weekends! Our groups split a couple of cinnamon rolls, which were wildly good. I think it was cream cheese frosting, but it was so rich and creamy, and the roll itself was super fluffy and absorbed the frosting perfectly. The cinnamon rolls are huge so definitely recommend splitting one if you're getting it with any other food!

Classic diner breakfast with generous portions! The pancakes were fluffy, the eggs were cooked well, and the hash browns had a nice crisp. Service was friendly, and the atmosphere was cozy. Would definitely come back for a hearty morning meal!"

Such a cute little "new age" diner! The sandwiches are delicious as well as the coleslaw. Incredibly friendly waiter when I went.
