Sunset Inn

They are famous for their Sloppers. which my party ordered 3 different ones. The slopper patty itself was good. the green chili was pretty running which makes it hard to stay on the burger. Also it doesn't come with fries so we all ordered fries on the side. All three of our portions of fries was equivalent to maybe one potato per person, for an additional 3.50? Also they couldn't even be bother to salt the fries.I also attempted to order a beer, however for a bar they only have 4 beers on tap (Coors, bud light, etc.) honestly i won't come back.

We thought Sunset catered to Mexican fare? Wrong, no enchiladas, all hard plastic chairs, not impressed with atmosphere, left before ordering anything.

The food was good, real good! They have all kinds of sloppers. I think it's the only place I know that serves Sloppers is Pueblo. I ordered an Italian sausage slopper, the rest of the group ordered hamburger Sloppers. It's served in a bowl, with a bottom bun, meat patty smothered in chili and cheese and a spoon to eat your meal with. I also asked for lettuce and tomato.

Quentissential Pueblo. Featured in the Travel Channel Food Wars episode. They won best slopper award, which i suspect is a dilemma for we natives. Gray's Coors originated the delicacy years ago, but some of us prefer the green chile at Sunset Inn. If you like a thicker stew-style green chile, you will prefer Gray's for sloppers.Sunset Inn has a huge menu including very tasty mexican dishes. I recommend the tacos on white. I've never met a person who doesn't absolutely dig T's on W. It's a soft flour tortilla deep fried into crisp crumbly pastry-like texture.They have COLD SCHOONERS - a Pueblo requirement. Big space full of tables and a couple of pool tables. Always good service and stuff. Very good service.

Sad I even wasted my time really. Wanted to be excited about trying out the food here. The wait staff however, was more interested in waiting on their friends than customers. Sat ourselves, waited, finally got menus and asked for a couple waters to start while we looked at our menu. Waited another 20 minutes while the wait staff walked past us at least 3-4 times to one other table. Never received our waters during this 20 minutes either. After about another 5 minutes of getting walked past we finally gave up and left. They weren't even all that busy, so we really couldn't see what the issue was.

Great neighborhood sports bar with solid bar food. The "GIANT burger" was in fact giant. Green chili sauce was excellent, fully stocked bar. Very friendly wait staff, and obviously the place to know for locals. Fun place, very casual, slightly loud, definitely a place to be on game day.

Slopper is the best item on the menu. Service was friendly and attentive. Good vibe in main dining area and an outdoor patio.

I have been going to Sunset Inn for decades. However today I experienced the worst dining experience ever. It took the staff over an hour and 20 minutes to get us our food. When it came our slopper came it was burnt on one side and was almost unbeatable. This place has really declined over the last few years

Terrible service. Food never came, workers group together at the end of the bar ignoring the customers they are supposed to be serving.Service was so bad we walked out.

The food was excellent before covid. Now the chili on my slopper was skimpy and.they charge extra for frozen FF. That were dry and tasted old. We used to eat here all the time. No more.
