I had been fighting melanoma with immunotherapy for six years and this spring they changed me to chemotherapy. Through the tenuous cancer journey I had always said to my self , at least I have my hair. Well ..... after Chemo...I lost my hair. I didn't want to wear one of those department store wigs that cut off your circulation and hurt so badly or show my bald head to my friends and neighbors but I was at a loss. I only found wig stores on the internet which brought fears of fishing through draws looking for the right look. Ugh. When your dealing mentally and physically with cancer, who has time for that bunk? My daughter found Jennifer on the internet and told me she had Rave reviews. I made an appointment and I'm blessed to have found Strands and Jennifer. I walked in with a ball cap on my head and left with a wig that looked like my hair color and hair style. Jennifer made me comfortable with her caring, informative and kind words. I started feeling this was a solutions place..... not just empty promises. She knows how we cancer people feel, she is an expert on matching hair needs with what is available in the Natural hair market. Natural hair...... not flammable material. Fantastic.Jennifer supplied me with the right styling information and the supplies I needed to look and feel great in my new hair. Every issue was discussed and with the price of the wig , I was given all the items ( wig stand, invisible tape so it won't slip and shampoo and conditioner to wash the wig) to be successful on my journey.Jennifer has fantastic people skills, follow up, and she is knowledgeable about wigs and styling. She has become one of the people I thank God for when I go to sleep. Thank you Jennifer for helping me through this road bump on my cancer journey.

We are blessed to have found Strands & Co. My mom was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer which has been devastating for our family. Jennifer worked with us to find the best and most affordable wig for my mother and made us feel so comfortable and cared for. Jennifer is so knowledgeable and gave us the best feedback. She treated us with love and kindness. I feel like we gained a friend after we left.

I was VERY impressed with the service I got with my beautiful real hair wigs. I lost all my hair (Triple Negative Breast Cancer) and was not sure what to expect but it felt so light and not at all picky and it looked so natural. Jim took this photo of me after we left to grab a late lunch. I ran through high winds and rain and it looks perfectly natural. I highly recommend Jennifer and she had so many informative tips my cancer group failed to warn me about. With Jennifer it's not just a one time deal. I'll be goin back to help decide a style for my 2nd wig but she'll be teaching me how to wash it and style it. I have to decide if I was both long or. on long and one shorter. I'm starting to learn towards two in the longer length as I always wear a hat when I go out. I can't imagine buying for anyone else because there is so much more to it and you need someone qualified to teach you those things. It was so nice to. wake up bald in the morning and by afternoon people were commenting on my new hair ad most had NO idea it was a wig. What more coule you ask.

If I could give Jennifer 10 Stars I would..I have Frontal Scarring Cranial Alopecia and have looked throughout Colorado for a hair piece luckily I looked in the Springs and found Jennifer. She is Truly sincere and compassionate and very knowledgeable and very well worth the drive from Denver..she takes the time to understand your feelings and goes to work from there.. she also ships Internationally as well as throughout the states..Doesn't get much better!! If you are not familiar with wigs, toppers or extensions this is a good place to start. However, the owner is deceptive, dishonest & quite frankly, unethical. Very, very long story short, I went to her with high hopes. I donated well over $2000 worth of hair pieces for her to give to clients that couldn't afford her $2800 pieces. What she told me would take 2 weeks, turned into five months with little communication. She changed cap & colors on me twice while trying to convince me I was at fault (I lost 5 lbs & she said that changed the size of my head-lol!). On my last visit, I was running out of patience as she again had not completed my piece. I expressed my disappointment & her response was to grab the piece I was putting on my head & told me I would not be receiving anything from her. She cannot take ANY criticism, so buyer beware. She also would not give me a refund as "she didn't have the funds". After stating I would not leave without either the product or a refund, she begrudgingly have me a post dated check. This is not the way a professional conducts business. She has already said she'll dispute any reviews I leave (she knows how disrespectfully and rudely I was treated). She also said she didn't care because she always asks her clients to leave her 5 star reviews & so far they have. I hope and pray someone suffering from hair loss (devastating in itself) does not have to go through what this woman has put me through for the last five months. She does not deserve to be in business let alone convincing clients to leave her good reviews. On the surface, she can present a kind, caring facade. Underneath lies a money hungry, unkind, unempathetic excuse for a human being. Again, I pray anyone dealing with her only has to see the surface level Jennifer. Luckily, most people will not be as familiar with hair pieces as I am and will be satisfied with the sub par results she produces. To date, I have not received either the promised product nor a refund.

Loved my time with Jennifer. My daughter told me I had to get real human hair and not synthetic. She was right. Jennifer knew right away exactly the look I wanted. I bought a topper. She found an excellent match with my own hair color, cut the topper to perfection, and dyed a few strands to perfectly complete the match. People don't know exactly what's different about me, but they say "you look so good today." The topper is so easy to secure and lightweight. Can't even tell I'm wearing it. I thought I'd wear the topper for travel but I'm now wearing it everyday. I'm spoiled.

If you're looking for a wig due to a medical diagnosis, or any other reason, Strands and Co. is the only place you should go. Jennifer and Julie are absolutely amazing! They are kind and compassionate and walked me through the process every step of the way, to include contacting my doctor for the prescription and completing the insurance paperwork. Jennifer begins with a private session in a quaint home off the main thoroughfares, yet easily accessible. If you're concerned about privacy you'll have no worries here. To begin the session, she immediately puts you at ease with her gentle and caring manner and shares helpful information that she has learned in her 30+ years of providing medical wig services; all of which proved highly valuable to me. She provides a thorough description of human vs synthetic wigs, shares examples of her work, and truly hears and addresses your concerns and desires. Should you purchase a wig, she provides you with a custom fit, color, and style of your choice. Once your wig has arrived, you'll have another private session for the fitting. For me, this was the most important step of the process; for many cancer patients, losing your hair is the most traumatic part of the treatment process. Jennifer was able to minimize my anxiety and the trauma of losing my hair through her kind and empathetic manner. She also provides everything you need for proper wear and care. My wig was such a perfect match, several people commented that I was lucky I wasn't losing my hair. Jennifer understands that she is not just a stylist, she is an important part of your support system. She walks beside you through your cancer journey and will be there for you every step of the way and beyond. The relationship you develop with her is more than just a stylist/customer relationship, it is truly a friendship.

My daughter has alopecia and getting a wig from Strands has done wonders to restore her self- confidence. Jennifer put my daughter at ease and encouraged her tremendously. She and Strands was exactly what we needed.

Jennifer has completely changed my life. I've been struggling with androgenetic apolecia. I've been losing hair for a few years now. I always had thin, fine hair but over the years it started thinning out more and more. I prayed for acceptance and God answered my prayers for many years. I recently went through a severe thyroid episode which resulted in a lot of my hair falling out and acceptance just wasn't happening anymore. So I started looking on line for a wig store within Colorado Springs. I saw Strands Medical Wigs and immediately called and left a message. Within just a short period of time, I received a call back from Jennifer. After sending pictures of my current hairstyle, along with potential options to consider, I met with Jennifer and within just a few minutes we had agreed a topper was the way to go. Jennifer found a color that matched mine almost exactly, and she suggested what we both agreed to be the perfect hairstyle. After receiving and fitting the topper, I did go through one day where it was a foreign feeling on the top of my head. However, entering day two I was feeling 100% comfortable and extremely satisfied with the feel and look! I am even discussing option #2 with Jennifer as I love my topper #1 so much. The entire experience has been a blessing, and I highly recommend any one going through hair loss to accept it (as much as humanly possible) and seek help from someone as knowledgeable and caring as Jennifer.
