This is a hot springs public pool that's really great for children and families. Affordable prices, three slides, two diving boards. It's close to town and easy to get to. You can bring in snacks, but there's also a snack bar available. I only gave three stars because the lifeguard situation is not what it should be. There is at least 60 people in the pool, with all slides and diving boards open.. and there is only one lifeguard out who is sitting in a deck chair only half paying attention to anything. There's so many little kids, that there's lots of parents close by to keep an eye on their kids and those around them.. but the slides are a little dang mess. There are kids jumping in on top of each other because they aren't clearing underneath. This is such a great spot, I wish they would just beef up that aspect and it would be perfect.

Nice, clean spring fed pool in the San Luis Valley. The actual pool is rectangular in shape. Alamosa doesn't really have a city pool, so this is the next best thing. Prices are reasonable as well. There are towels and floats you can rent if you don't bring your own. A snack bar is inside with moderate prices, along with men's and women's locker rooms and showers.As far as the pool area, there are two slides and 1 short diving board. The slides are at the northern end of the pool in the middle and the diving board is on the deep end, along the western side of the pool. Most kids seem to use the squiggly water slide since it's more fun. Grassy areas are present along the southern and northeastern ends of the pool, along with free chairs and a few shaded cabanas.

We had such a great time there today. The pool was so nice and clean, the staff was polite and friendly. We had no issues making a reservation by phone. No need to go online and set up an account and jump through hoops in order to make reservations (like Salida Hot springs). The water was great, it isn't cold like some outdoor pools. Just lovely, thank you very much!!! Definitely going back before the end of the summer.

I came to this establishment last year and the lifeguard situation was less than ideal. This year, I'm not sure if the staff or the working conditions they are under have improved, but I find the lifeguards to be much more observant and truly doing their best with the little leeway they are awarded. I came with my younger grandson, and I had a question for the lifeguard to see if he could go off the diving board. The guard was very attentive, and immediately answered me politely, and informatively; however, those are two adjectives that I would not be able to apply to the inside staff. My grandson (merely 6 years old) went inside to buy himself a candy bar, he was met with a five minute wait and a complete and utter lack of customer service. He told me that the teenage girls who served him seems like they wanted to be anywhere else in the world, but at their job. I noticed when I went inside myself that there was at least three girls working in the back, but yet a lifeguard, who had come in for a water break, had to get me my bottle of water and Sprite. I was glad that I hadn't ordered food because it seems like the lifeguard had to make that too. This establishment could be a great place to bring family and friends. But first they need to make some serious changes to the staff or at least the way they operate. Good customer service is never lost even on the young.

Pool needs cleaned soooo badly. There is floating trash in the pool that no one bothers to fish out (candy wrappers,bandaids, paper, etc) . The walls and floor of the pool are slimy and don't allow you to even walk. Tried to walk laps in the lap lanes, and slid around so badly I had to quit. Only 2 lanes were available and they were slimy on the bottom. There were 7 of us there at one time trying to either swim or walk and only 2 laps available.(I think they used to have 4 lanes) .The lifeguards were basically worthless and wouldn't even keep playing kids out of the lap lanes. One guard said she wasn't allowed to ask kids to get out of the lap lanes. There are a lot of time they don't even have life guards available. Needs safety improvements.

Life guards were extremely rude cornered my 10 year old and her friend just to yell at them then brought more lifeguards out to yell at them told my 10 year old that they would kick her out. will not be going there again.

Yeah loved it had a blast it's a great place for kiddos can't wait to go back love Colorado
