Southmoor park is medium sized park off of Hampden and I-25. It has large rolling grassy hills and a small playground and pavilion at the top of one of those hills. Being so close to a busy street, I was expecting to hear a lot of traffic noise, but that was not the case here. There is a path that encircles the whole park with a scattering of shade trees around the perimeter. Nice park to visit when in the area.

Beautiful park! Southmoor boasts a playground, basketball court, soccer field, plenty of picnic areas, and a great paved path encircling the whole thing. It's about .7 miles around the loop, so a good option if you're looking to get a few laps in - it's also got some small hills, so a better walking workout than other parks may be. But the best thing about the park is the huge, beautiful lawn - great for the dogs, or just for laying around - which plenty of people were doing when I visited!

Nice neighborhood park. Lots of grassy area (mostly for soccer), a basketball court (close to the soccer fields), paved paths (for walking, jogging, kids riding bikes), a small sand-filled playground for little ones (ages 18 months- 5years old), and a swing set for 2 kids and 1 baby swing. There are mature trees (or maybe they are just overgrown pine trees) great for shade and a picnic, but beware, as some locals have told me that transients have been known to sleep/hang out under the shady trees.Other than that, a nice park for the young ones that need to get their wiggles out!

Located in Hampden South, Southmoor Park offers a sizable playground with mature trees and well-maintained grass fields to run around. Enjoy a game of soccer or bike around the ~0.6 mile paved loop. To add to the fun, the playground is essentially a big sandbox - bring your shovels and buckets for a day of excavation.Find out more at englewood.macaronikid.com
