In August of this 2015 my wife and I had a window of 3 hours to play golf on a Saturday morning with our young son. I have the GolfNow app so I pulled up a few courses after unsuccessfully trying to book a tee time that worked at the South Suburban Par 3. SouthGlenn CC popped up as an option so I contacted the course to set up a time. We played that morning and the second I walked onto the grounds I knew this is where my family belonged.I grew up in Carroll, Iowa where I had access to a nice 9 hole municipal and an 18 hole Country Club my entire youth. My summers were spent golfing, working, and swimming at the Club. As I grew older my first jobs were as a bag boy, then in the Pro Shop, and eventually out to the grounds crew. I moved to Colorado in 1999 and essentially shelved my clubs other than playing in charity scramble events a few times a year, and the occasional business or buddy rounds at Bear Dance, Ravenna, or Arrowhead etc.... Golf in Colorado is expensive! And it is SLOW. Since joining SGCC I play every chance I get. After first joining I would show up at sunrise and walk 9 holes before 7:30am to be at work before 8. If I have an hour or so during the day or before heading home I'll go play. My wife is beginning to play and my 3 young children are all beginning to learn and love the game. We are hooked on SGCC!I see the value in this place and I am committed to making sure SGCC sees another 50+ years as the "best kept secret" in South Denver.

Yelp has this place filed under "swimming pools," which is not totally correct. SGCC is a three-in-one recreational facility having GOLF and TENNIS in addition to swimming. While the tennis courts aren't great, the golf is fantastic and is a big part of what SGCC has to offer. It is, after all, a country club. This is a very nice little country club, tucked away among the residential neighborhoods of Southglenn. It's not big or fancy, but the memberships are some of the best value for recreational facilities in the area. They've got a 9-hole golf course, regulation-length swimming pool, and two tennis courts. The staff are very friendly and accommodating; the whole place is run with a very personal touch. The grounds are beautiful and lush, with mature trees and gorgeous flowerbeds; it's like a little slice of the countryside embedded in the heart of the suburbs!

Went to a meeting at the clubhouse here, so that's all I can speak to. It wasn't the nicest clubhouse ever. Felt like one of those older Country Clubs where they've just kind of let the clubhouse hang behind in the 80's. Could use a bit of touchup work.

SGCC is wonderful!!! A beautiful peaceful 9 hole par 3 course with excellent benefits: no tee times ( just walk on any time!), play by yourself or others (never get paired with people you do not know, yuk), play in 40 minutes, start at any hole, get good at your short game, nicely maintained, friendly people, wonderful children's program, very cool night event (Glow, Grub, Golf), superb gold instructor Anne. It is great for parents, kids, grandparents, retirees, young professionals. Unwind after a hard day, clear your mind before a busy day, nice activity with you and grandkids, learn to play golf. This place is the best kept secret in the Suburbs!!!!

Good for golf and swimming. The tennis courts are run down and unusable. Constant priority for the golfers thus, the swim team and pool suffers from maintenance issues. Pool is rarely crowded so it is an excellent place to take your family. The golf leagues and golf program for kids are well thought out and ran.

My wife and I (and our two boys) joined this club for the first time this year. For the price, nothing compares to SGCC! The course is perfect for our young, future golfers. They love to play, and the laid-back atmosphere of Southglenn is wonderful. Members and staff are friendly and courteous. That said, the pool is also great. You can't find a members-only swimming club (let alone golf and tennis) at a better price point anywhere in the metro. The only thing missing is a nice playground for the kids to use during adult swim. The tennis courts could also use some TLC.

Love this place! A true neighborhood gem. The course is in the best shape it has been in years. I've been a member since the early 90s and have enjoyed every year!

We've been members for over 25 years and SGCC has been a special place for us. You can play 9 holes of golf in 90 minutes, hardly no wait at all, ever. If you go over alone and want to play there is usually someone there that you can join up with to play a round. People are very friendly and not pretentious. We've belonged to many clubs over the years and this one is always one that you can feel comfortable. The course is truly beautiful and you can use every club in your bag with long and short fairways. It's great for your short game AND your longer drives too. If you want 18 holes, we play two rounds and it's never boring.
