Snake River is definitely one of the best dinner spots in all of Keystone. Rustic and inviting, you will feeling like you're still in the warming house on the mountains. The restaurant side is upscale dining and the saloon side is haute dive bar. Steak is the main thing on the menu, but they also have great seafood offerings. The steak has that western chick wagon flavor and is cooked true to temperature. They also have some imaginative cocktails. The prices run a little high, as one might expect in a ski town. At the Snake, service is what keeps you coming back. Attentive and enjoyable, I have yet to have an experience below excellent. For the win: Start with the Tiger Shrimp Cocktail, followed by the Kansas City Sirloin, and wash it down with their Snake Bite Paloma.

I love how one side of the restaurant is super nice for a date night and the other side is more chill vibes with the bar. Getting seated right away wasn't an issue and our server, although in training, did an amazing job! As for the food, the wings were SO GOOD 9/10, however the main courses fell short. I ordered the Fettuccine Alfredo with Chicken and the chicken was too charred for my liking, also some of the noodles were a bit dry 7/10. My boyfriend ordered a steak and said it was also too charred for his liking. I ordered the Cosmo and yikes it was so strong that I had to switch it out for the Chocolate Velvet which was much better 8/10. Honestly overall I was a little disappointed with the food especially for the price. Not worth it in my opinion.

I was always to myself and others that restaurants in mountain towns were at best Just Okay. But here is Snake River Saloon changing my mind!First, the atmosphere of the restaurant is a mix between an old west style steakhouse and an upscale diner. Lighting was low but we had plenty of light coming from the windows. Parking is pretty easy. Plenty of parking for the restaurant and they do get full, Christy Sports parking lot is also available. We made reservations but we did also arrive earlier than our time slot. It wasn't an issue at all and we were seated immediately. Staff here is very nice and very attentive. Our server was Karen and she was on point with the service. The staff here worked like a team and that makes the experience even better. I love how attentive they were and helped out when it was needed. The drinks menu was pretty interesting. Definitely not your usual restaurant/bar drinks. The drink I ordered was the Dog Gone Blues: Vodka, Triple Sec, and Blueberry Jam. Never had a drink with Blueberry Jam before so I had to get it. The bartender did not disappoint on this one! None of the ingredients were overpowering and all ingredients worked perfectly together. My wife ordered My Cup Of Tea: Tequila, muddled raspberries, jasmine green tea, grapefruit juice. It reminded her of a margarita. It was good but the lime and salt rim was too sour which didn't go well with the drink. She also mentioned that she hardly tasted the tea. Now on to the food which was the star of the evening. For starters we ordered the Escargot and Bone Marrow. Please don't ask me to choose which was better because this will be a hard choice. The escargot was full of so much flavors. The snails were place on top of mushrooms, surrounded with this sherry wine sauce that was the perfect complement to the snails. Each bite was ridiculously good that it was this whole dish was quickly devoured. Once the last bite of escargot was eaten, a tear was shed. This was moment was like saying goodbye to your child when they go off to their first day of kindergarten. The only part of this dish that wasn't eaten was the bread. Everything else on this dish was so good, we lost site of the bread. Maybe next time bread, maybe next time. The Bone Marrow also got the same amount of attention. First, I was a little surprised on how much marrow was on the bones. I think there were 6 toasted slices of bread with the dish and all 6 had generous amounts of marrow slathered on them. I highly recommend putting the veggies on the toast. They will help cut the richness of the marrow and they add more flavors to the bites. With this combination, each bite will taste like a party in your mouth and you will be dancing in your chair while you eat. I know I did. For the main course I ordered the Ribeye with the snake butter on top. This boneless piece of hearty ribeye was cooked perfectly to medium rare, with a nice charred outer layer. Adding the snake butter on top puts this dish above the rest. I am not sure what's in the snake butter but the obvious flavor I got from it was... Love, yep that's what it was, a taste of love. The roommate got the stuffed halibut after our server Karen mentioned this special (which wasn't on the menu). The way Karen described this dish was almost like she hitting my wife and my wife fell for it. And it did not disappoint. Stuffed with spinach and then wrapped in this potato sheet then deep fried to a crispy consistency. Then it was slathered with this creamy white sauce that made me want to tell Karen to behave herself. I mean there were kids around.... The dish was so good that I did not mind this from Karen at all. This experience has got me to change my mind about the mountain restaurants. Especially in Keystone. I am already counting the days until we come back here again. And I am looking forward to trying the other dishes that Snake River Saloon offers

Honestly 10/10. Super fun ambiance-- I'd recommend reservations because it was very busy but we just walked in and sat at the bar. The chicken piccata CHANGED MY LIFE. Unbelievable. Great service, great good, good vibes. Nothing like a hot meal after a long ski day.

Lots of delicious choices on the menu for food and drinks. We always come here when in CO. Perfect service in a cozy ambience. It's busy because it's popular with locals too, especially in ski season. Highly recommend!

This saloon and steakhouse has the best of both worlds. The steakhouse has an upscale fine dining atmosphere and the saloon is very rustic/casual vibe! The service is top notch. No water glass goes empty nor is a plate left for even 30 seconds after finishing. The waiter was wonderful and the food was fantastic. We loved the fresh baked bread and honey butter too. The saloon should start a butter processing business as there was no shortage of their delicious butter on the table.

We dined here while in town for our ski vacation. This place has been around for quite some time and years ago it was much better than now. We agree the place has gone down hill considerably. While our waitress was attentive and kept us up to date on the status of our lengthy wait for food, we were mostly disappointed. The good stuff- Friendly waitstaff and the bread and butter were delicious. Incredibly attentive refilling drinks. The T-bone steak was flavorful and very good. The not so good-The onion rings seemed overcooked and greasier than typical onion rings. The filet that was ordered with a lobster tail was overcooked and the lobster tail was rubbery. The other filet was so undercooked, it was basically raw inside of the exterior char. We aren't sure what happened that delayed our food so long. We were a party of 4 and the much larger parties that came in after us ate before us. Tired of waiting, we ordered dessert to go. The slices of cheesecake were much smaller than what we've received at other places. It was good, not great. Not sure we will be back next time we are in town. Average food, resort town prices.

Love this steakhouse. The old building gives it such a nice warm charm. It's a bit on the expensive side, but you get what you pay for here. Excellent food and service!

They were very busy. We ate in the bar area. Service was very slow. They needed more help. We had the prime rib and it was tough in areas and lots of fat. Chicken Alfredo was average. Nothing exciting!

We had a party of 8. Not one person liked their food. Steaks were flavorless and dry. Vegetables were not cooked well. Definitely would not recommend this place.
