Liberty and Dart at Shilo Farms
Indoor arena
Wash stall drain always full of manure, dirt, and hair. Never cleaned...
Shiloh Farms
Aisleway as typical in a state of disarray. The water on the ground is due to their lack of automatic water.

The team of employees are amazing! They look after everyone's horse, as if the animal were their own. I have boarded there for over a year couldn't be happier! They have just about everything you could ask for in a barn. With staff living on the property, there is always someone there to keep an eye on the horses and the grounds.

This facility is behind the times not only with their lack of amenities, but also in the day-to-day operations and overall staff shortcomings. The management is rude, overbearing, heavy on unnecessary rules, and generally falls short in all areas of horse care and general stable management. Work orders were required to be submitted for very basic tasks such as lightbulb replacement, righting downed feeders, or fixing dangerous fencing. Once submitted, the work orders are frequently ignored altogether. The footing in every arena, indoors or out, leave much to be desired, and have been known on occasion to cause lameness issues. The dust in the indoor arena is extremely unhealthy for horses and humans alike, making it basically unusable. Stalls (which cost a pretty penny) are not even close to being level, and many have deep holes and buckling rubber mats. A constant lack of sufficient bedding also lends to horses experiencing problems with thrush and not performing well in general. The lack of shavings also tends to create a strong odor of ammonia, which, on certain days, literally burns your eyes and lungs. The fencing over the entire facility is rickety and dangerous, with particularly concerning areas in the daily turnout pens. The quality and amount of feed is sub-par, at best. Low quality roughage in minimal amounts required owners to provide extra food at their own additional expense and effort. Overall, this barn is unsafe, unfriendly, poorly managed, and not a place any serious owner/rider should consider doing business with.*** This is not even close to being a complete list of my grievances.

I LOVE this barn. The trainers are some of the most knowledgeable horse people I've met, the staff are friendly, and the manager is great!! I also love the access to the nice indoor and outdoor arenas...it makes hanging out with my horse in all different types of weather easier. Each horse is looked at a couple times a day to be sure no injuries have been sustained and to make sure everybody is feeling okay. If i ever have any questions regarding my horse, they are answered with quality responses and care. Bringing my horse to Colorado from Minnesota and boarding him at Shiloh Farms was a very easy decision for me. It gives me peace of mind knowing he is in good hands.

Stay away from this barn!!!! I can't stress this enough. They add on fees undiscussed previously to bill. I supplied my own senior feed for my horse and asked for additional flake of hay instead of the food they provide and I pay for in board and was told it was my choice to not use their food and any hay was additional cost. My horse received supplements in smartpaks and a daily pill. They did not give him his medication for 4 days and gave him medication twice on another day. I was notified on a Thursday he was out of grain and I let them know his extra bag was in tack room because did not know where to store it . They processed to not feed him until I notified them on Sat that we had been to the barn and feed still in tack room . He was NOT Fed for 3 days !!!!! And somehow was my fault when I pay for full board. Even if my grain wasn't there I pay for grain in the board and could have been used or a simple phone call. The owner and staff take zero responsibility for the care and lay blame on everyone except themselves. The barn manager was beyond rude and even if spoken to she would not speak back and the trainer her mother would run interference for her disrespect and lack of ability to oversee the place . Stay away from this place if you care about your horses .

This should be zero stars. The quality of care at this stable has seriously tanked since the change in ownership two years ago.

I love Shiloh! The trainer who lives at the barn and her daughter are absolutely amazing. My horse is treated like family and I get calls when the weather turns or if there is concern my horse may not be feeling well. There are some things in need of upgrading but I think management is working toward doing so. The barn is kept clean and I think for the cost of board the arenas and other facilities are great. My horse's pen is well maintained and he is extremely happy at this barn. We have been at Shiloh for 3 years and at two barns prior to this in Colorado - he is by far the happiest at Shiloh. He also has maintained his weight well even though he is an older horse in full time work. Most importantly, the boarders are great and the people who work there are super friendly. It's a very welcoming barn.
