Sheldon's Luncheonette

Driving up on a weekday morning you see this is a popular place. You walk in and it truly is the real deal diner. The staff is so friendly and the one thing you will not find is an empty coffee cup. I had the Breakfast Burrito. It was so good. I'm in town on business and this is a great find. Enjoy!

Staff is always super friendly and welcoming.. food is yummy and always consistently good. My 11 yr old loves this place because of the staff and traditional breakfast options! The vibe is awesome with the majority of guests being regulars and not shy to chit chat.

As soon as you walk in, you can see this is a well-known place for locals. We are visiting Colorado Springs and stopped in here for breakfast several times now. The food was very reasonable and everything was just great! The service is good and the food is hometown good!!! You won't be sorry if you trying this place and it won't break the bank. Great serving sizes. Biscuits and gravy were good too.

The servings were plentiful. The biscuits and gravy were above average. I recommend the biscuits and gravy. The service was superior by modern standards. The waitress patrolled the floor with hot coffee at regular intervals. Prices were moderate by comparison with other restaurants. I'd say yes, this is a good place for breakfast.

The food was good but it took forever and was over priced. We sat at the counter and watched as obvious regulars arrived after us, ate and left before we even had our food. We were there for almost 50 minutes before we had our order. The Ruben was fantastic! Potato salad wasn't great and the fries were soggy. $35 out the door for two sandwiches and 1 iced tea seemed like a lot. I know they've been there for a long time but for me it's a no. Won't be returning or recommending anytime soon.

Been back several times since last review.Always a great breakfast when in the area.They are always busy and the servers great.Ordered:Scrambled eggs with home fries, ham steak and English muffin $10.75.Coffee $2.20The ham is extra good.Be Back For Sure..

Fresh food, spotless classic diner, counter and all. Watch your order being cooked on the flattop griddle. REAL handcut fries with your hamburger...no frozen crap off the Sisco truck here...just real, basic food like it used to be prepared decades ago when only fresh ingredients were available. Want to know how REAL diner food is supposed to taste this is for you. And the prices are very reasonable. Service? Impeccable, including the never empty coffee cup.

Very nice employees, cute little diner atmosphere, awful food. I felt like I should be able to trust reviews, but this was just not good. I ordered my burger medium, it was a well-done, unseasoned little hockey puck. My son's pancakes were drowning in the crisco they were cooked in (there was a puddle of what looked like butter-flavored crisco on the side of his plate and underneath the pancakes) and everyone else's food tasted and looked like tv dinners. I really wanted to like it, but would never, ever go back.

I stopped in for lunch on my way back to Albuquerque. What a pleasant surprise! As the name says, a lovely traditional luncheonette like the 60s. Very tasty food, great friendly service. Kudos to server Kourtney, who kept us entertained with her charm and her humor while we waited for our orders.

We have been coming here for many years! Last week I got a chance to meet the owner and she and her husband were there working!! Rolling silverware, etc! I was so impressed. The service and food are of good quality ! The soups are homemade and fresh, and your coffee mug will never run dry !! Friendly staff and a hard working cook!! Sit at the diner style wrap around counter and you'll laugh with down to earth locals and feel so at home!!
