Every artist here is as the brand suggests SELF MADE and they all specialize in something specific! I had an appointment with Tye Youmans and I chose him because of his ability to provide realism with abstract and vibrant color!!!Not only did Tye execute my vision beyond my imagination, it was a COVER UP! A lot of artists refuse to touch or cover someone else's work, but when I reached out to Tye about a different tattoo during the consultation we both agreed that his work next to my current tattoo would make it look even more ugly than it already was. I wasn't for what I found, but I'm so glad I started following Self Made Tattoo Colorado two years ago and Tye moved back 6 months ago. I'm glad I was finally able to sit in sit in his chair. I also was able to get squeezed in by the life of the party piercer Mike! I got the 3rd piercing to complete a triple lobe and an orbitalin my left ear. Mike was able to get me in and out within 7 minutes! I'm so glad I found a tattoo artist who not only delivered beyond expectations, but was extremely transparent and wanted the art to speak for itself. I'm honored to have been pierced and tattooed in this dynamic environment.Definitely looking forward to more artwork to come!!!

Came here and got a tattoo with Morgan, who did AMAZING! I love her artwork. The artists they have do a wide variety of work so you're bound to find something you like. This was also the first tattoo shop I went to where I felt 100% comfortable! I was sitting waiting for less than five minutes and three people asked if I needed help. I also got a piercing, and Mike did fantastic and was super funny and helpful. 1000% coming here again!

My brother visited and really wanted to get a small mountain tattoo. They were able to take us in later that day. The staff was really polite, even offered me some water while I waited! His tattoo came out really nice, done by the amazing Justin. I would highly recommend them. I'll be going back for my next one.

Just moved from Texas to Colorado Springs and was looking for great studio to get a piercing done. I was a little discouraged when I was rudely turned away by another studio around the area but was so happy and please when I arrived at Self Made. Mike is awesome and explained everything thoroughly when doing my frenulum piercing; to make it even better he swapped out my old nostril jewelry to some badass flat backs which I love.The great staff, friendly atmosphere, and explanation of everything that was being done really made my day and hope to be coming back many more times : )

I made and appointment with morgan on their website and she got back to me quickly and got in the following week, it was clean and vibe was awesome. I love my tattoo and morgan worked hard to place it correctly and make everything for me! Would recommend!!

Very disappointed in my experience here. I have came here many times getting piercings from Mike and he is absolutely amazing. This weekend I came with my cousin to get a tattoo. I was told there were artists available to do my tattoo and not once was it was mentioned to me that Kelly was a tattoo apprentice all I wanted was a simple quote. Some of the lettering is thin some is thick it's very uneven and looks awful. I'm very disappointed with my experience and with the way my tattoo looks. I have posted the stencil outline and the tattooed version. I am now going to have to get this touched up and hope that someone will be able to fix the mistakes as this is going to be on me forever. I do not recommend! I feel like I should have been told about her being an apprentice.

By far the best and most professional tattoo shop I've been to me and my family came here on vacation and in one day they was able to tattoo on all six of us and they turned out amazing my artist was axl he does amazing work talks to ya while you get it done the shop is very clean wouldn't consider another place to go to if you are in Colorado Springs be sure to check them out

Three weeks prior to my appt, I emailed a pic of what I had and expressed I wanted to continue that design. He didn't have anything drawn up prior to appt, didn't offer to make any modifications to design that I didn't like, and wouldn't give any of my deposit back after I said that's not what I wanted. Not personable at all. I left the shop with no tattoo and won't be back
