Shaggy is top notch when it comes to bartenders he can legit make you any drink you ask for (liquid marijuana in my case) a local favorite he will leave you laughing and is a ton of fun with the locals! Great local hangout good vibes and pool tables in the back!

Great view out the window while seated at the bar. No frills - beer, boxed wine and liquor. Bartender, Filbert, was friendly and attentive. Lots of locals when we arrived (happy hour is from 4-7 I think); but, Fil made us feel welcome (just passing thru heading to Boulder; spent a few nights at a local BnB). Would go back and hopefully catch some live music...

Great for pool and watching a game. No food, and hit and miss service. Not kid friendly.

Fun pool tables available for 25 cents. Bartender was not able to make a simple drink and overcharges for drinks but the place is clean and laid back

Stopped here when we were staying in town camping over the weekend. We met the owner, Lee, and he was very fun and nice to talk with! We had ordered pizza down the street and were waiting for it to be done when Lee told us we could eat it there since they don't serve food. We brought our pizza back to eat and had more drinks. We played some pool and had a good time. Will definitely be back next time in Leadville!

My boyfriend and I stayed in Leadville last night and searched Yelp (and town) for where to watch the Michigan State game. After driving by a couple of places that claim to be sports bars with very limited TVs we saw The Scarlet.My bar scene is usually more of a dive-bar... because I'd rather just relax, drink beer, and watch football... so this was right up my alley! For those of you who like a selection of CO Craft... this is a good place to stop in. They had a few products I haven't seen on draft much which was nice!The crowd was also friendly last night and had suggestions of where to (and where not to) eat dinner since the Scarlet doesn't serve food BUT you can order pizza and if we hadn't had pizza the previous night, we would have ordered right there!

Love this place! A great combo of a locals bar and, well, us Seriously Shaggy and Cassie take excellent care of everyone! And they don't serve food but Mountain High Pies delivers directly to the bar. Seriously?? This place is awesome!!

While I'm not much of a drinker, Scarlet is my favorite late night bar in Leadville - great crowd, great drinks, and a great atmosphereI've never ventured into Scarlet without making a few new friends - kind of what a small town bar is all about ;)

amazing bar tender, up and coming with the ambiance but the service makes up for all shortcomings.

awesome experience, great service. matt killed it. super busy but he kept his cool and kept the drinks coming. definitely coming back to see matt. awesome place to visit
