Sarah Shaw Dance Studio

Not only did I learn to dance at this studio I also learned about friendship and community. I gained confidence from performing. I gained coordination and grace for learning dance. Sarah and Donna were two of the nicest people you could ever meet. It seemed like they dedicated most of their life to this studio. Some of my most happiest memories were at this studio.

We have three daughters dancing with Sarah Shaw, ages 5,10, & 13. They absolutely love it. We tired 3 other dance studios and settled on Sarah Shaw. Sarah opened this studio in the 1960s and it is the go-to destination for both male and female dancers from the very youngest through high school. Many different styles of dance taught, including tap, jazz, pom, clog, lyrical, ballet. There are also tumbling classes. Often time graduating high school students return to volunteer to help or return as instructors. There is also a family maximum - one you reach a certain level, there is no additional changes for more classes (save and except additional costumes that you will have to purchase). This is helpful with a family of 3 dancers. Sarah is a very patient teacher, even for the youngest an inexperienced dancers. Her recitals (which are multiple days because there are so many dances) are top notch and very professional. High School classes have opportunities to travel and compete. While you can stop in to ask for more information, it is a better idea to all ahead to make an appointment because there is a lot going on during most afternoons and evenings. Mornings and early afternoons might be best. There are 4 different studios. Sarah Shaw has done amazing things for our daughters, including growth in self esteem and self confidence. They have also met many more friends, may of which will no doubt become life long friends. I highly recommend Sarah Shaw Dance Studio.

I walked in one day inquiring about the classes for my 5 year old. I was starred up and down and felt very uncomfortable as the owner had no answers or information for me regarding these classes. She's prejudice. !!! I wouldn't even rate with one star!
