Sam's Smokehouse

Super rude hostess. Wouldn't let us into the bar or restaurant an hour before closing despite others lingering there. It was a super cold ski day and we had a pregnant person with us who just wanted a warm non alcoholic beverage. The bathroom smell overtakes part of the restaurant and it's super unappetizing

This is on top of the mountain. It is very nice and delicious. I ordered Cobb salad and it was huge. You could split it. The have water already on the table and that was very nice. Sit by window. There was no wait for a table. My husbands pulled pork sandwich and fries were good. It's expensive but every restaurant on a mountain usually is.

Very poor experience. After a surprisingly good ski lunch at Elk Camp Lodge the prior day, we were excited to try another of the newer on-mountain restaurants at Snowmass and invited friends from Vail to join us.The portions were meager, the food pedestrian, and prices inexplicably high. I ordered the bbq chicken BLT, one of the more popular options I was told by our server. Skip it. Yesterday's bacon, a sad leaf of lettuce and several slices of uninspired tomato that outnumbered the few pieces of chicken. The side of slaw was good but no more than three bites. I left hungry. Even worse, the new Sam's offers no beer on draft.For on mountain eats at Snowmass, Elk Camp and Up4Pizza are the go-to spots.

Sam's KILLED IT on Fat Tuesday! Suckling Pig sliders were insane. The boys were smokin'em up outside all day.In general, probably the best food on the four Aspen mountains. Great Bloody Mary (served with bacon) and really good stews. And good views on a bluebird day.

Sam's smokehouse is a nice step above your average ski cafeteria. It's clean and has modern decor inside. I wouldn't expect anything less for an Aspen establishment.I had the smokehouse burger. It's a single patty with pulled pork on top. I was recommend to get the smoked gouda and bacon to go with it. I'll go ahead and forward that recommendation along.The sandwich (yes sandwich) was very good but it should be advertised as a pulled pork sandwich with a thin patty on the side. It's a 1/4 lb patty that makes a McDonald's patty's look big... soooo thin. However their house marinated butter picked are super tasty and come with the burger/sandwich.Our server was very pleasant and food arrived quickly. I'd come back, just be aware that the burgers are like sliders that have been flattened.

Don't come here - bar where you stand in line to get your drink. The poor bartender handles the service bar, Coffee shop and good. YOU the unbaked customer gets to wait.Then we put our name in to be seated 20 minutes with 9 open tables. Hostess needs help or a present manager.AND THIS IS THE BEST DAY OF SKIING IN A MONTH!!!

Wow. Terrific restaurant at the top of the village express chair. First of all -- the location is terrific. Views galore. Second -- the menu has variety. We are vegetarians and had lots of choices. The food came out quickly and was just delicious. Good value for the price. And service was responsive and friendly. The BBQ sauces were deadly delicious! I put them on everything!

Sam's Smokehouse is the place to be! I loved that this was not cafeteria style and that we actually had servers come to our table?! Our server was super friendly & so nice. I could see that the staff were all very hard workers, and we came in right after a huge rush. The manager Britt, was the best. He came by our table to welcome us & we had a great conversation. You could tell he runs a tight ship with the staff & they seem very loyal. The food was amazing and the VIEWS!! Wow! Can't wait to come back on my next vacation. It looks like they might be remodeling? Can't wait to see the changes. MAKE SURE TO STOP BY SAM'S SMOKEHOUSE!!

Best restaurant on snowmass! The views cannot be best, the service is amazing considering how busy this place gets, the variety of choices are great, and the value for what you get is the best on the mountain. Definitely give this place a shot if you need a ski break!

Not wanting to wait for a table over the lunch rush, I grabbed a turkey wrap, chips and a Coke and sat outside. Besides, the temp and sun were perfect.The wrap was basic/average. Great location though!
