SALT Craft Meat Market

This is one of my very favorite places in Castle Rock to purchase a meal to go or grab a sandwich. I've been here probably about 4-5 times. I keep forgetting to write a review of this lovely place. First and foremost, it's a very quaint butcher shop that seems to be family run. Every time I've visted here, staff is extremely friendly. One of the many reasons I keep returning! They have a beautiful butcher display case with plenty of meat choices.Sometimes I will walk downtown Castle Rock and during my journey, I will often stop by here. During one of my most recent walking ventures I stopped by and spoke to one of their staff members I've seen several times. I didn't get his name. He is always friendly and offers great customer service. On this occasion, we chatted for a long time about the business, to go meals offered, sandwiches and customer feedback. I enjoyed our conversation so much that I stopped by later to grab a "to go meal." This is how business is done! Don't just make the experience about business because it becomes transactional and dry. I've purchased several "grab and go meals" and some of my honorable mentions are their shepherd's pie, steak stroganoff and pot roast. Their "grab and go meals" are such a great option for anyone who doesn't have time to cook or just truly "on the go." They offer individual (serves 1-2 people) and family sized meals. Also, I like how they put leftover "grab and go meals" in their fridge for customer purchase. Also, check out other meal options or sides in the fridge.Recently, I had their sandwich special which is a "Roast Beef Special." This sandwich consists of thin sliced roast beef, creamy horseradish sauce, provolone cheese, arugula, and crispy french fried onions on a hoagie. This is one of my favorites from SALT! Be sure to keep an eye out for their sandwich specials or the regular options offered. Sandwiches are great quality and filling. They also offer bags of chips and sodas to go with your sandwich. I must say that I've never had a bad experience here. Hence why I keep returning here over and over. I'm very much looking forward to my next visit! Be sure to go to their website to check their weekly "Grab and Go Meals" or sandwiches. You may order either and it's a very seamless process. Also, this place is a good option for anyone wanting a quick lunch option locally or travelers passing through the area. They're not too far from the I-25 exit (Wilcox Street).Hope you enjoy and your experience is world class!

Ordered sandwiches from SALT Craft Meat Market yesterday afternoon. They were ready early and the owner was so nice. He labeled the sandwiches and waited until we arrived to get the drinks so they would stay cold.The BLT and Italian that I tasted were both hearty and delicious.The store was very clean.This is our new go-to sandwich place. Want to try their beef another time, too!

This place is small but mighty! In addition to selling meat and other specialty items and making sandwiches, they also have weekly to-go dinners, charcuterie, holiday dinners, a rotation of other to-go and specialty items in their case. The staff are all super friendly and helpful. Some of our faves: Family to go meals - every week they offer 2 to-go meals for pre-order. The portions are generous, the meals are easy to heat up, and they are so good! I appreciate the help during busy work weeks.Deli meat - they sell sliced sandwich meat in their to-go case, including their own smoked turkey breast. My only "complaint" is the turkey runs out quickly sometimes!Charcuterie - beautiful and deliciousHoliday meals - really delicious holiday meal options (when we first tried their amazing smoked turkey)

Great food would personally like a larger selection , but quality was definitely there . Had the roast beef wrap and couple other guys tried the club. Recommended

I just had the barbecue roast beef and cheddar sandwich and it was excellent. I gave it five stars bc that was the highest rating available. The barbecue sauce was tangy, the jalapeños were an excellent addition and the meat was very flavorful. Add the fried onions and the perfectly melted cheese and it turned the sandwich into a masterpiece. This will be a place that I will have to visit more often.

These guys really stepped up, we had 35 hungry bikers come in when the people across the street didn't want our business. The food was great and they worked hard to please us. Great people, food was really good and friendly people. I will always make a point of going back here to buy from them.

Meat is not grass fed. They only had one other option but it was grass finished...very disappointing. The other packaged food is not made from organic ingredients. This place is a hard pass for me.

This place is amazing. The quality is top notch. It's the same or even less price for the best quality you can find. I have spent a few years in the beef industry. I know quality when I see it. The love and dedication these folks put into raising these animals is worth it's weight in gold. Plus they have stuff that a bbq freak like me can't find anywhere else. Support local ranchers and get the best product possible at a reasonable price. I would much rather these great folks make the profits than the big meat packers which I won't name. Trust me on this folks. Everything they sell will make you look like a super star I'm the kitchen and on the grill.

I highly recommend SALT for charcuterie or special order items. I ordered a sweet 'n' salty charcuterie board. I wanted leftovers so Jordan suggested I do a "per person" order. We had plenty for a very nice happy hour one day and some light appetizers the next. Presentation was excellent but we dove in before I took a picture!I also ordered kabobs - 4 beef and 3 chicken for 4 people. We had leftovers of these too!This is a great spot for special items with guests in town but I'll be back for some "every day" stuff too. Their pre-made meals looked good as well. You get what you pay for and then some. I found their products to be well worth the price and I appreciate Jordan's excellent service. I haven't purchased from their main meat case but when I picked up my order, everything looked great!We'll be back to try more!

Don't write a lot of reviews but can't resist. Salt Craft just made a custom order of 3 different Brat style sausages for a party and every guest took the time to tell me that they were the best Brats they've ever had. They created Fire Roasted Poblano, Cheddar and Beef Hot Links that are incredible. They also prepared 1/3lb beef patties for the grill that were fantastic. Entertaining and want to impress your guest, I highly recommend Salt Craft Meat Market in Castle Rock!
